Not Everton related as such but think we have the right to ask,

In regards Man Utd and Radcliffe's interview in his own words "Utd would run out of money by November", so how is this possible sustainable and not been dealt with internally before getting into this mess and more worrying for us why ain't/ weren't the powers that be monitoring this with a fine tooth comb like us! We all know it's corrupt and there for the elite. ??.

{Ed001's Note - because it is not true. If it had been true, do you think they would have spent all those millions in the summer hiring 2 sporting directors (in effect), including paying a large sum to buy Ashworth out of his contract? Also would they have extended Ten Hag's contract, then spent more millions paying him and Ashworth off? It is the Rat trying to excuse sacking off the poor underpaid real workers at the football club. If money was that tight, the first thing that would be done is coming to agreements with players to release them, as that is where real savings are made.}

Thanks Ed,

I totally agree, don't like the guy at all and way he is going about it, did think he was talking a lot of bs.

{Ed001's Note - horrible man.}

Whats you're foughts on there new stadium plans ed 001 mate and can you see all premier league established clubs in future expending there stadiums i imagine it won't be nowhere near uniteds capacity like and how they can afford this plan if there club is in debt am not the best of people on finances but any feedbacks or opinions on there new stadium would be gratefull matey.

{Ed001's Note - the country's richest man, brexit Jim the Rat, could easily pay for the new stadium out of his own pockets, but instead he would much prefer to get the taxpayer to pay for it. If they can't afford to pay for it, then it shouldn't be done. They should sort out their finances and then get their stadium done.

I fully expect all clubs to look to increase size of their stadiums to as big as they can feasibly go, as the revenue from merchandise and food etc is such a big income stream.}

Jim the rat ??? just that has made my day but yeah totally agree with you're feedback mate thank you.

{Ed001's Note - it is astonishing that he can claim the club is broke and had to sack all these low paid workers in order to save 50p a week on one hand and then on the other reveal plans for a huge 100k seater stadium. How much did the plans cost to draw up? That isn't cheap. If the club is in so much financial bother, surely that kind of thing can wait? The guy is a conman of the first order.}

Totally agree mate yes i imagine there revenue will be the most in the Premier league but there miles off challenging for the premier league and also the champions league the way city and Liverpool have built there teams i think the 2 i have mentioned will be going toe to toe next few years for silverware but Liverpool an city that's good recruitment united on the other hand have got major wage issues casimero whose on 325 k a week maguire plus there forward line isn't exciting but then we have done it over the years we have recruited very poorly and its cost us badly ie point deductions but i'm hoping come summer we can address the issue with keane doucoura on high wages dcl who feels like he's off and i fought holgate was sold but he's been sent out on loan but hoping for us we recruit sensible even if its players using us as a stepping stone then so be it as long they try put in 90 min shifts just my opinions though.

{Ed001's Note - you have gone through the pain and hopefully are on the other side of it now and starting to rebuild. United seem to believe they are too important to go through pain and the taxpayers should pay for their new stadium instead.}

The Etihad stadium came from the pockets of the public too. Must be a Manchester thing.

{Ed001's Note - and West Ham's.}

Please Ed, No. don’t bring up the Brady bunch. That lot wind me up!

{Ed001's Note - sorry mate.}

11 Mar 2025 21:19:08
That United stadium design looks like the big top at Bognor Butlins. Not that I can remember much else when I do a weekender there!

12 Mar 2025 10:56:53
Billy Smart would love that new ground.

12 Mar 2025 11:34:59
Ed001, I'm certainly not fan of Jim the Rat but I'm pretty sure the Govt backing is for regeneration of the local area, not the stadium.

{Ed001's Note - we'll see mate.}

I really dislike the stadium for the north tag line. It’s not. It’s a stadium for Utd. Most other northern prem clubs are developing their own stadiums - we don’t need Utds. Absolute twoddle.

All that stuff about letting people go then announcing this really takes the biscuit. Awful.

{Ed025's Note - its an absolute disgrace BR, but what else do you expect when a scumbag like Jim Ratcliffe is involved mate..
