The backbone of our squad (still under contract into 2026) is pretty solid.
Pickford
Patterson
OBrien
Tarks
Branthwaite
Myko
Tim
Garner
McNeil
Ndiaye
Chermiti
Beto
Add Alcaraz and Gueye
Armstrong maybe, but would prefer him to get a full championship season at a top half team
Ins I'd like to see players such as
Walker-Peters - Free
Coufal- Free
Longstaff
Fellows
Igamane
1-2 further decent young championship or unknown foreign players
Better loans
Not much then ha ha.

Just out of interest sake why would you want to see Coufal join?
I get he’s got premier league experience and has worked under Moyes.
However, he’ll be 33 start of next season, he’ll want decent wages, he’ll be due a signing fee as a free agent and imagine would atleast want a 2yr contract - surely that’s not a deal we should be doing?
Signing players at the end of their careers and giving them one last pay cheque was one of the factors that got us in the mess we were in with our finances.
For me it would be a step in the wrong direction signing him, regardless of the experience he could bring.

We are not to far from decent team - especially with Ndiaye and McNeil adding a bit of quality going forward.
Would think we need a Rt back Lt back and a striker minimum.
Think we could make use of loans better. Would be keen to get Mangala back if recovers from nasty injury - the rest I wouldn’t keep (other than signing Alcaraz permanently)

I'd like to see Fellows join and the Georgian fella from Watford looks good. Go a out for Angel Gomes on a free from Lille . I can see a few shrewd signings of players we probably never heard of too, s bit like Fellaini. As per usual, if we signed everyone we linked with, we'd have a bigger squad than chelsea.

Agree dan we need to try and move away from players over 30 am not saying experience is not needed but are transfer recruitment over last 4 years has been piss poor apart from Ndiaye pickford tarks onana who was here rest havnt stood up for me even are loan recruitment has been piss poor we have dcl who looks like he's leaving on a free shoudnt never happen this should of been addressed during start of season and if he didn't want to sign should of sold him i do think with moyes back and new board and new stadium on the horizon i think we will see a rainbow at the end but god that's years away ??.

He is the only one I've suggested over 30, if all our players were young we'd struggle again. Experience here and there is needed.
{Ed025's Note - i agree BB..

Over 30 is not old anymore, especially someone like him. He is fit as a butchers dog. Knows Moyes well.
Personally I would rather target other players but if he comes I wouldn’t be upset by it.

BB wasn’t criticising your list, I was just asking why you’d want a 33yr old Coufal as a signing?
I’ve put up a reason why I wouldn’t want him, just interested to see what your reasoning for signing him would be?

I read someone say that Grealish was too old at 29 as well yesterday lol. Not sure about this fascination with age but I’m definitely in agreement with Bunkbeds regards to needing a mix of both experience and youth. AY, IG and SC were also 33 years ago. IG arguably our best player under the new DM regime.
