Branthwaight is under contract for another 2 years, plus a one year option to the club, thus how can a player, tried to the club, decided to leave. ?
A test therefore, for our new owners, you don't say he can't go, but make it clear, the price is one hundred million, and that is the price, not our negotiating figure, plus a twenty million add on package, think that may just cool there interest.

It all depends on who comes in for him. Latest rumours are Spurs and Man U, has he seen the league table ?.
If any player has set his sights away from the club then it's best for all parties to get it done early. I think maybe £60 million with add ons would be the ball park for Branthwaite.
Doucs, Seamus, DCL, Keane. thank you for your service but goodbye. I would sign Charlie but send other loans back. I'd give Gana another 2 year deal as he still performs.
As for signings, Delap would be the marque one if we can get him. Our biggest advantage is he is guaranteed to be starting every week for us and not either in a squad rotation or back up.

I would not accept £60 million, the whole of football knows how good he is and will get better. Maguire went for 80 and West Ham got 100 for Declan Rice, we should make sure we push the price to the limit.

I agree we shouldn't let clubs take him for what they seem fair, we should demand top dollar and if they really want him they will pay, tell me where you can get a left side defender 6ft 5 and a ball player for 60million of his quality and is only going to get better and at 22 the skys the limit for him .

I would sit the lad down and sell him the vision for the club. Future Everton captain, and with O'Brien a sold defensive partnership for years to come. Added to that the players coming in and the new stadium, and this will be a different club to the one he's so far seen. Pay the lad what he is worth and he might just want to stay.

Don’t think he wants a move myself.

I’d love him to stay but I can’t see it beyond the next season. The reality is that Man U and Spurs are more attractive than us. United due to exposure and Spurs are a London club. Even if league positions vary those facts we can’t compete with.
But I would hold onto him for the next season so that he tastes the atmosphere of BMD and try’s to get back into the England fold, like it or not his value will be less if we tried to sell him whilst not in tuchels plans. Then as Brassington says. Sell him our vision and pray he buys.

A player is only worth what another club will pay for him. We may want £100 million for Branthwaite but if in 18 months time nobody has offered it and the lad won't sign a new contract, his value will plummet.
None of us know his plans but if I were in charge, I'd offer him a new five year deal with clause that if someone met our valuation he'd be allowed to consider it.
