Do we know what's actually happening to Goodison Park, I was just thinking that if the womens team are going to play there, then surely they won't generate enough money to run it efficiently without our owners subsidising it. Extra revenue brought in by new stadium could possibly end up helping running costs unless the women get a good following on match days. I may be well off the mark but just a thought I had.

I am not sure they are saying the Ladies might be playing there next season so as no one thinks of pinching anything at the last game ?.

They released a ‘Goodison Legacy’ thing about turning it into a park with that’s, medical centre, community hub etc a while back.
I’ve also read somewhere that the women’s team will use it but the stadium needs maintenance and I can’t see how the women’s side will keep up the running costs. Plus, the chance to make money out of the site in this age of PSR would make it difficult to retain. I’d rather see the money invested into the first team and Walton stadium.

It’s hard to know what is just sentiment and plain old reality with the ‘Old Lady’ Dentielad. All I know is: I’ve got the Lego knockoff kit of Goodison Park from the Everton store and I intend to build it when it’s knocked down - rising from the ashes in Lego (knocked off version) form.

A mate got it me for my birthday but I think it was around £20-30. He’s a red but used to go Goodison as it was too expensive to head to Anfield with his family. It will be interesting to see what they do with pricing at the new stadium. I’m hoping they start tours there in the summer as my lad is a bit young for a prem game yet (mainly because of the language used) and I don’t think we will get tickets for any friendlies but would like to get inside and have a look at it.

Careful with that moody Lego set. If you look at the box i think it clearly states it has 3.2 gazillion pieces - and they are all teeny compared to the real stuff. Thought it would be easy and take me 15 mins but more like 3 hours!
