We have done really well to steer clear of relegation. but as the season draws to a close, our eyes are opened to the needs for the season to come. Both City and Everton are in real need of renewal. City were so far short of their old dominance and Everton's old deficiencies showed up too often. too many of our players cannot either keep hold of the ball in tight situations and our distribution is sadly lacking. Some of our players are good honest workers but just lack the skill to take us on the journey we all want to go on. Clever work behind the scenes must go on in the next few months so we don't get held up in the traffic queue for players who are not going to choose us. we need to box clever and scour the world for hopefully the next-to-be school of science footballers.
{Ed025's Note - a lot of our players are more "school for scoundrels" than school of science Oscar, our forwards lack guile and vision and see there job as running around a lot and closing down mate, that has to change..

Spot on Oscar, I think Moyes will be fully aware of our short falls, just shows how well we’ve done to be safe already. A lot of dead wood that needs chopping.

And now for a big summer.

Can't do anything until the window. Raised form breeds raised expectations unfairly in some recent posts on here. Let's keep it real and appreciate a season where we are safe 2 months from the final day. Going to definitely be a truly intense summer. Nobody wants success more than us fans but we need to temper expectations for next season. So many anomalies so many new faces that might need half a season to gel let alone hit their own form. It could be a financial challenge still and it's very possible the new stadium will also have that new stadium effect and that's generally an overload of pressure that manifests negatively on performances. Anything 14th or above must be supported and a awareness of realism is required.

Deals are already being done by many clubs. The window opening just allows them to confirm it.

Believe everything you read.

Don’t need to read it I witnessed it two years ago with a couple of Chelsea players whose agent had already agreed contracts. Contracts were then finalised first day of window.

No doubt we do have a list and agents would have/ are doing the rounds already. We (as I suspect do some others) have to get our financial ducks in a row first.
