Hey all, seeing as we are safe with a few games to spare just thought playing devils advocate for a bit of fun and see how peoples opinions would vary.
The scenario, is Moyes moves upstairs and a certain Carlo Ancelotti returns after getting the bullet at Real Madrid. He's open to returning and leading Everton into their new stadium and is promised a sizeable transfer budget.
So, would you support it? Or leave moyes continue as he is.
On a sidenote don't you just love Blue Flares :)
{Ed025's Note - i dont want Carlo back KB but moving DM upstairs would work for me mate..

Carlos would want much bigger stars on wages that would cripple us again. I don’t know who the answer is, but it’s not Carlos for me.
More moving upstairs would not be a terrible thing in my eyes. Would like to see him win something with us first.

Wouldn't have Carlo back if he offered to work for nothing.
He jumped as soon as Madrid came knocking and would do the same again. The man is a disgrace.

Honest reply to this is we leave Moyes in place for next season. let's have a little bit of stability while we hoof out some of the dross that has been playing for us and (hopefully) replace it with much better signings.
We’ve only been able to stop thinking about relegation for about six weeks, so for me stability is the first priority. None of us have any idea how the new stadium will affect things. Arsenal went crap (for them) when they moved, Spurs have suffered too.
I see next season as the beginning of better things, but this will take time and DM is the right person for at least next season for me.
{Ed025's Note - i dont have a problem with that Benny, but i do want to see who we recruit and who we ship out before i start doing any cartwheels mate..

Ok, but let's have some ground rules.
we don't sign anyone, over 25, unless on a free transfer, new signing are on performance related contract's, max 50 thousand with 25 bounces every week club is in top half of the league, plus 10 appearance.
All conditions met, would equal 85, per week, might rule us out of some top stars, but with big bonus for actually wining something, am sure we could attract some very good player for that sought of money.

No signings over 25. Why?

Totally agree Ed.
I think the most important thing is the squad outs and ins next season, which is why I say keep DM and focus on the players.
Moyes is no-ones fool and he knows half of them aren’t up to the task.
{Ed025's Note - i just hope he does not revert to type Benny and bring in workers rather than the more skillful player mate, dont get me wrong we need a mixture of both but i would like us to be entertaining as well as hard to beat..

Age is but a number, players these days are athletes first and foremost so to write off anyone over 25 is absolutely ridiculous.
