Hi Eds025 I was wondering if you will be posting a video of yourself doing cartwheels mate if we do get in some quality players and get rid of a lot of deadwood :) . Also I hope it is lazy journalism that says we are in discussions over a new contract for DCL as far as I am concerned that ship has sailed let's move on, I don't think Delap is worth a 100k weekly pay packet for a one season wonder would much rather we went for a proven striker, I don't want to go back to the old days under moshiri by giving out silly contracts that hamper us. Hopefully we get our new signings in early for a good pre season ready to put on displays that we deserve.
{Ed025's Note - i will certainly doing cartwheels if i get what i want Andy, im not asking for miracles mate...just for us to get these freeloaders out of our club and buy some decent players, i want us to play entertaining expansive football even if we dont win anything, Nil Satis Nisi Optimum is what i am after and the respect of the footballing world...is that too much to ask?..

Delap has scored 12 goals this season in a very poor team, at an average of 1 goal this season every 3 games. We have nobody remotely close. Would be worth every penny.

Let’s face it. If there was a striker out there that we could trust to get us 15 goals a season, we wouldn’t be his first choice and there’d be a dozen other teams after him at least. Delap even after one season looks beyond our reach. It may take a few seasons of trying before we get a striker to be proud of. I don’t wish to sound negative but
1. There are too many teams richer than us
2. There are too many teams more successful than us
3. There are too many teams more “London” than us
It’s really hard for our club to find a striker that ticks our boxes and genuinely sees us as a better option than all the others who want to sign him.
So we will probably end up with a forward with Betos head, DCLs fitness and dress sense, Van de meydas personal life and Maupes twitter account.

Beto has pretty much the same goal to minutes ratio as Delap.

Delap scores for Ipswich because they create chances by playing attacking football there's no forward in the prem who could score loads for us as under dyche the plan was defend get the ball to half way line give the opposition the ball back and repeat moyes has tried to change this but we're still miles away.

So I’ll stand by what I said that Beto pretty much got the same goal to minutes ratio as Delap - in fact it’s marginally better.
