The more that time goes on, the more I think that we should be trying to get Wissa from Brentford. 28 so not a bad age. Only one year left on his deal. No disrespect to Brentford but it would represent a move to a well-established PL club with a decent looking project.
Test their resolve with a 20/ 25 million bid.
Great finisher.

I like him but not sure, got a feeling he will struggle without Mbeumo and vice versa if Mbeumo goes to It's, sometimes players just fit clubs and teammates, they compliment each other very well BN.
03 Jun 2025 19:51:05
Not wrong Mocker mate. Go on then, you've twisted my arm. Let's go and get both of them. Afterall, we need a ST and RW.
03 Jun 2025 19:58:48
You can argue that Brentford are an established PL team these days. I’d love for us to go for Mbeumo but think he’ll be off to Utd.
There’s a load of Brighton and Bournemouth players I’d like to see us going for but don’t think we could entice anyone yet.
Sadly, we aren’t in the ‘buy everyone else’s players’ club yet and will likely need to shop in championship and Europe to progress. Need some more Cahills and Artetas to grace our turf.

Just seen Mbeumo is on £50k a week at brentford and wants £250k a wk to join utd. shows to me players don't give a toss about teams financial positions these days. i don't give a toss who utd sign but I reckon they should all get together and put a CAP on wages. I know it won't happen because certain teams just spend what they want and get away with it. Wissa is a great shout though ? BN.
03 Jun 2025 20:10:22
Certainly can BR but they don't compare to us in terms of size of club. Fan base. New stadium.
I was joking around with the Mbuemo shout of course but once he goes, there team is a lot weaker and I think we would be able to tempt Wissa. He is literally 1 of 2 decent strikers in the PL that are realistically attainable for us.
Who are the Brighton and Bournemouth players you fancy?
Not wrong about getting players in the ilk of Cahill and Arteta mate.
04 Jun 2025 10:22:43
That is a mental jump Ron but I guess he feels he can ask for that given that he has out performed many players for the last 2 seasons who will be on much more.
Great idea on the wage cap but I think the big teams gain an advantage, so will not get on board like you say. It is mental the money some of the teams have spent but don't face PSR issues. I know that the big clubs generate more money but the likes of Utd and Chelsea spending over a billion is madness. Then West Ham make me laugh too.
04 Jun 2025 11:10:01
Really hope Utd get hit with PSR charges in future. Making a complete mockery of it all imo and souch for Rat and Ten Haag stance on the "Ronaldo cap" whereas no new player or contract will be more than £200k PW (bless them, how will they survive! ) . All whilst crying financial poverty and laying off the 100s of normal working class family people.
04 Jun 2025 11:10:36
There’s just no possible way to police wage caps. They’ll find clever ways of giving them more than any cap would limit. Football has moved on from the equal playing field it once was.
You only have to watch the documentary on the super league failure to see that there is a thirst for unfair competition driven by elite clubs. It disgusts me tbh but I’m afraid there’s very little that can be done to stop it.
04 Jun 2025 12:40:50
I like the look of Mitoma and Minteh from Brighton and Semenyo, Kluivert and Evanilson (when he is fit) BN. Think Huijsen and Kerkez are decent but are being courted by others. I’d like to see us finding some up and coming players like these rather than the cast offs / no longer required players of Utd and City.
I genuinely don’t think the premier league will exist as it does in 10 years time Toffee Ace. The greedy 6 will have broken away and will drain our talent pool with big bucks. There are many American owners in the prem and it will only take a few more until they reach the majority and push for an American sports’ franchise style system without relegation and promotion.
I also think that’s one of the reasons we haven’t had the prem league pushing the City and Chelsea cases as it will just drive a wedge between them and the clubs which will accelerate the super league. that's all scepticism from me but the financial rules and systems all feel like a big mess and I don’t see it getting sorted anytime soon. Non of the top 6 will accept a wage cap as it takes away their advantage so we will limp on until there is no other choice but to have a breakaway league.

Agree BR, exactly where we are heading?
In regards to the players you mentioned all great shouts but beyond us currently, the big boys are circling Hujsen has already joined Real Madrid, Bayern Munich looking at Mitoma along with others, Kerkoz will join Liverpool this summer, Minteh turned us down last summer and Evanilson is a strange one how little old Bournemouth managed to get him when far bigger teams were interested, they did pay £40 million for him mind. We need be ahead of the circle and getting these in early like the teams you say.
04 Jun 2025 16:21:40
Absolutely agree with those shouts BR but I thought you were meaning players we could actually realistically acquire. As Mocker said, I think those lads are way out of our reach as things stand.
I guess the good thing is that these lads (bar Evanilson) were bought for modest fees and from teams we could do business with. It just shows that there are players out there to bring in.
04 Jun 2025 18:43:57
I was only thinking of positions we need players in BN. Christie from Bournemouth would be the only one we could probably get but I doubt he’d want to leave them.
04 Jun 2025 19:47:54
I always liked that Phillip billing at Bournemouth and don't think there manager does because i haven't heard of him this season was always good for a goal or assist on my bet builder lol.
04 Jun 2025 20:36:26
He's been on loan Ron Mac at Napoli this season who just won seria a.
04 Jun 2025 20:45:55
Christie is one of the most improved players in the PL BR but you are right. I can't see him leaving there if the manager likes him and he is guaranteed a game every week. Nice part of the world as well.
Ron, I am sure he went to Napoli on loan, along with the likes of McTominay, Anguissa and Gilmore. He bagged a few against us if I recall.
05 Jun 2025 03:35:46
Cheers lads ?.
