I've never known a club drag out transfer business as much as Everton, thought Gana was close last week. Do they know we need numbers. If it's averaging 3 weeks per signing we will be lucky to get Kean and DCL re signed before the start of the season.

I agree about getting Gana signed up. Should have been done long ago but as for signings, I don't think we'll do much early business. Maybe a couple early on but most in August I think. We need a lot of players so we'll need to hang on a bit to hopefully see the prices go down a bit.

Think Gana should be done soon. Don't think there will be any major signings announced until the start of July, as my understanding is that the current PSR period is still active until the end of June, after which TFG can loosen the purse strings. Should be exciting!

There's probably numerous reasons why it seems slow. Players on holiday, players wanting to assess all of their options. Finances could also play a part, would spending too much now affect and hinder us at a later date? I'm not really sure how true it is that we will wait until the start of next month to navigate psr but that is one rumour doing the rounds. I'd prefer us to be savvy than splash the cash like the last owner, that's just one step forward and two back.
I'd say the club has offered contracts to those players they want to keep, so it down to them to make a decision at this point. We've got to be patient, this could be a big window for us if the recruitment team can get it right.

Think a lot will be happening behind the scenes, but with players and managers taking holidays it will probably pick up near the end of the month.

Gana is on international duty at the moment he may well be concentrating on that.
