A few weeks again against Sheff utd I saw Silva's reign end. He made rash substitutions and tactical changes. Today just confirmed it.
Those players on the pitch today let the manager down yes but they are letting each other down much more. And ofcourse the fans but I'm looking at this from a professional level first.
Delph and Schnids are either lazy or incompetent. Neither of them moved away from the middle of the park today. They didn't take any chances to get forward and as Silva pointed out, were not brave enough to try and make things happen.
Iwobi was full of running but there were so many times Digne was slow to support him. On the right the chemistry between Seamus and Ricky is none existent.
Upfront DCL is desperate for his no10 to help him. He makes himself available but he's knowhere to be seen. Ricky and Iwobi go looking for him but he's never there. He so individual now it's like he's just playing on his own.
In defense, the intensity of earlier on this season has gone and we've regressed which in set pieces means we are an easy target again.
As much as I want this team to be successful we need a new manager. EVERY player let us down today. EVERY single one of them.
The next manager needs to motivate these players and give them a simple plan. I pray to god we don't make the same mistakes of the past in getting someone like Sam. It has to be a long term vision but I don't hold out any hope they'll be given the right support again and we will simply be in this position in about 12 months time.
Unfortunately, I'll be telling my grandkids about how the city used to have two clubs.

They are GB but what should come first to the players should be to each other.
If they play for the manager and each other they become a team. They'll work together to improve. Football is a team sport and no individual can do the role of everyone in it.
They must at all times work for each other.
