Another interesting article today about our losses of over £100 million, with Usmanov putting in £30 million just to get to the top of the naming rights for our new stadium which is small change for him, he now only has to make an inflated deal from one of his companies and pump money into Everton and hey ho we join the Billionaires plaything like Chelsea and City, next up will be £60 or £70 million pound player arriving at our Club, am loving this.

Good news hopefully.

{Ed002's Note - This is nonsense.}

Couldn't agree more Ed, total pie in the sky stuff. All we should be concerned with at the moment is getting high earning lazy players off the books so we are in a more solid position going forward.

Gurrnsey looks like you’ve taken that from the article written on suburbangooners website.
Not sure what you’re on about regarding signing £60, £70 mil players though as this was clearly highlighted at the meeting the other day as something we won’t be doing.

walk before we can run mate, we need to get a set in stone style and a philosophy in place before any of these big buys you're speaking of happen, big buys don't mean wins all the time with the cost of players constantly inflating, we still need to be a cost effective club that have players as investments. (i. e only buying players that we know will have a resell value greater than the price paid)

To be honest I think our business model is going to be more about player development long term and cultivating our team supplemented by the occasional rising star.
Listening to how Brands states the Zaha saga as rubbish I get the feeling we aren’t looking to become a team splashing ridiculous amounts of cash
He has also moving at least 3 out Cenk being one already the other two being Niasse and Martina but did also elude to 2/ 3 in.

15 Jan 2020 17:20:08
Let’s just hope one of the 2/ 3 coming in is not Sandro hey Southern.

Wages are the biggest issue, Moshri and Usmanov will take care off the field, no matter how rich they are there needs to be a model, even Man City have that in place now you don’t see them overspending anymore walked away from Sanchez and Maguire because they thought it was too high.
Until new stadium is built we are not getting top end players
We need mass clear out over next 2 windows 60% of this squad can go as far as I’m concerned.

I think the losses we can have are something like 100m over 3 years. Anything more is against the rules.

I also thought there is an issue with wages and how much these can be or increase by but I have not got much of a clue. The Ed's will know what this is I'm sure but it usually looks like a list as long as your arm and makes you go cross eyed.

Wages for me are more serious as this is an ongoing debt and if you are paying too much and in poor quality you can't get rid of the players.

{Ed002's Note - I would not worry about the wages in terms of FFP - I would worry about them as they are close to 90% of the income of the club. Add to that the money being paid to the coach and the money being paid to advisors and perhaps you will start to understand the financial mess. Hence the loans from Santander, and in particular and recent, Rights and Media Funding. It is not good I am afraid.}

How worried should we be Ed?

{Ed002's Note - I would not worry about the money as it generally confusses. Regardless, Everton cannot bear significant losses this season without then having an FFP issue with the Premier League and they already have one which could impact any European competition. The club should be looking to be run on a more sustainable basis/ They are not the only Premier League side on the edge.}

No doubt they have a plan I assume but never the less I'd rather see the club try and make progress in a more sustainable way.

Thanks ED I try to stay away from the figures as you've provided enough on here in the past to make it clear none of us truly understands what the runnings of a football club is really like. Some here wouldn't even do well on football manager!

{Ed002's Note - Have a great evening.}
