Well we knew it was coming. At least he won’t be going on the cheap so we can reinvest elsewhere. Luckily he plays in a position we already have a direct replacement for in Gordon.

He's been our best player for 25 years. He's been very professional, loyal and has always represented himself well. If it wasn't such a disaster for football last summer, he'd have been long gone already. Never makes a fuss. We will really miss him and his underrated hard work. Shame we didn't capitalise and score 3 or 4 other players of his quality as he would have been central to our march to European football. Unfortunately we let him down badly with our recruitment. Hope we don't get relegated and stuffed on the fee. Some of the old codgers on here laugh but he's got to be £80 million at least. Brazil striker, winner, young and an attitude 2nd to none. Whoever gets him will have his best years. With some teammates who can actually play the game, a team with a striker or 2 and a solid defence, he will take 2 steps forward and become an absolute beast. He's bigger than Man Utd frankly. Good luck Rikky, get us a few goals before you go please lad.

Richarlison is the player I’ll miss most when he goes. Love everything about him, never hides, quality footballer, great professional and gives his all every match.
Brownshoes is spot on, we let him down massively.

He’s one of if not our best player but by no means is he amazing.
Goes down way too easily, doesn’t score enough goals, also doesn’t create a lot of goals either.
Unfortunately didn’t step up when DCL was out injured either, was expecting to see him do well as he’s a Brazilian international striker. Then again with the players around him at Everton wouldn’t imagine many would bag a load for us.
He does work his socks off and always puts in a shift, but to be honest don’t want a player in his position to do that want them banging the goals in or atleast creating chances.
If he does go then good luck to him and I’m sure he’ll improve again, hope we get a decent fee.

You only have to watch the video of him running from the dugout when Iwobi scored to join in the pile on to know where his heart is at . I hope he stays he wants to win things for us, I hope he gets the chance next season.

How many decades did it take us to get a player that most top clubs got in the 1990s who could by us free kicks all around the box. He's getting crap from GingerDan because of that? To use a page term, wobble your head pal. The real crime was never buying a Baines free kick replacement. Digne wasnt very good, he must have missed 80% but much better than what we have now. I noted the last 3 games he won us 3 or 4 free kicks around the box each game (all that annoying "going down too easily" eh? Absolute waster isn't he? ) and who do we have to take the kick? nobody with the skill set required. A better side with a free kick special-ist would have scored a couple of goals from those. Unbelievable comment seriously?

He has literally done nothing for us. He has the ability to be a great player but something just hasn't clicked. His team mates, rolling around the floor, etc, I dunno but I'm not having him as our best player in 25 years.
Give me Tim cahill, Kevin campbell, I'd even feel safer with prime jags, baines, Gareth Barry or Phil neville in the team.
Players who gave their all and may not have been as good a player as richy but you knew they were fighting for the team.
Richy is not the only one. I think young Gordon is the only real one fighting and giving his all for the team. The rest. heads have dropped .
I like Frank and we have a varied and experienced backroom team. We just need to survive, even if its a last game goal difference save.
Then we can rebuild, which will probly see richy and dcl go. We should then look round for young hungry players in lower leagues and world that want to learn and develop.

This nonsense of taking decades to get a player top clubs had in the 90’s - do you not remember Andrei Kanchelskis? Absolutely amazing player 20 goals in 52 games - this is the sort of player I was hoping Richarlison could emulate for us.

So if he left over 25yrs ago then that would have been in the 1990’s which throws your argument out the window of it taking us decades to get a top player like top clubs in the 1990’s as we had one in kanchelskis.
As for Richarlison being our best player in 25yrs did you not see Rooney, lukaku, Pienaar, arteta or Cahill play for us in that time?
Richarlison may be the player you feel is the clubs best player in 25yrs but I’d doubt if you did a poll of Everton fans he’d come out on top.

Brown shoes. They not the best, just a few names who have done more for our club than richy and who put am awful lot. more effort in than he does.
He may run around and close down but very slowly and without conviction.
Campbell saved our club with his goals. Neville and jags always gave 100% each and every time they crossed the line.
Dan gave a few examples of better players business were ones we need now to fight and battle, not roll all o er the floor every tackle he takes.
Only 1 or 2 are proper fouls.

I disagree with that Geoff. Think richys work rate and commitment is excellent, and he does show intensity most of the time. I'm not sure if you're getting him confused with DCL as he is the one that trots around the pitch contributing absolutely nothing and only "closes down" as a box ticking exercise - presumably thinks he's above grafting off the ball.

TD. none of them press with the intensity that city and Liverpool do and they always leave too much space when they do so teams pass round us and have space to run into.
Watch Gordon do it and he's right in players faces and we need all of them to do it as a team.
Frank wants to play this way, which is fine but it takes time to get the right players in and develop these tactics after rafa's 10 men behind the ball.
I think richy is a good footballer but he doesn't grab games by the scruff of the neck or wins get si gle handed like so many have before, Gerrard, Drogba, etc. Even kane, ward-prowse and jiminez show more than richy.
If richy thinks he's up there then he needs to show it more. He needs to be stronger, if he wants to play 9, so many other players get kicked all game but stayed on their feet, took the kick and kept the game flowing. He goes down, the game stops and we have no flow in passing
DCL is another story. Is he going to be a 2 season wonder, it looks that way.

Not saying better, swan, as richy is by far the more talented but in this situation I'd much rather have Phil neville battling to save the club than some fairy who falls over when he gets a dirty look.
Always looks like he's ready to burst into tears too.
Lukaku had/ has an awful first touch but he is strong and powerful and scores goals. Richy needs to stay on his feet and fight back against defenders rather than going down, which slows the game, disrupts our flow and allows teams to regain their shape.
