With speculation ramping up today that Lewin will be heading to Newcastle what are fellow fans views mine is anything over 50 mill snap their hands off also will Lewin see Newcastle as a step up as they are miles away from challenging top 6 and I feel we will sell Richy and a few others like Mina and Gomes and we will be quite active in the market.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if he performs like he did last season 50M might be a fair price. However he has done nothing this year to suggest he his worth anything near that amount. I know that he has been injured but when he has played he has done very little to indicate that value. II would take the 50M if offered but II doubt any team would pay that amount for him, in which case he probably stays with us for next season.

My only hope Bluemike is Newcastle are rich so straight away prices go up like they did for us and if they do want him we will drive a hard bargain.

I think this season has been a total write off for him with injuries and then how team was set up.

Wouldn’t want to see him leave as he’s a decent player and when team set up to provide him with service he’ll get goals - last season prime example.

Would hate for him to go to Newcastle and then see him bang the goals in - they love a no9 and know how to set up a team to get the best out of one. Could easily see him banging 20+ goals for them a season.

Will all depend on money offered and how bad a financial situation we are in if we have to sell.

Replacing his goals from last season won’t be easy if he does go.

Easy to replace the ones he’s scored this season though. If he’s keen to go, let him go. There’ll be more than one team interested so we should get decent money, which we need.

For me, it depends on his injuries. If his niggles are in places that are more likely to reoccur and classify him as injury prone, I’d sell. £50m would be a decent amount - if it’s Newcastle, you could get more as we’ve been held ransom over players we want once the money arrived. If his injuries are genuine one-off injuries, I’d consider keeping him.

The question for me is who would you get in with the money? I’d look at CBs as our priority but then again, we’ll need someone up front if Richy goes as well.

It feels like a turbulent summer awaits….

Looks like Frank will have to find a new team next season as according to the papers DCL to Newcastle plus Godfrey, Gordon and Richy to Suprs. So our main striker, best young prospect, our best outfield player and according to Frank our 1st choice CB will all need to be replaced. Its amazing what tripe the media put out when they can't fill the airwaves with plaudits for their two favourite teams.

Can't see us selling Gordon Godfrey or any of the young players and that includes Holgate as Lampard seems to like him I can see us selling or trying to sell
Pickford (if a big offer comes in)
Mina
Keane
Gomes
Alan
Gbamin
Lewin (if a stupid bid comes in)
Richy (deserves to play at a higher level)
Our of contract (yearly wage)
Delph 4.1 mill saved
Sigs 5 2 mill saved
Tosun 3.2 mill saved

Either way that's a lot of wages saved over the last two years and if we sell a few it all helps towards FFP and I know we have a massive debt but that's to Moshiri so I'm not including that as while he is willing to carry that debt although unhealthy and unsustainable we shouldn't need to worry about that at the minute.

Hard to judge him too harshly on an injury wrecked season. He was worth more than that last year but way less the rest of the time. Still don't want him to go but if he wants to.

Would be less disappointed than the last time we sold an injury-prone no9 to Newcastle. but Dunc did come back.

Think you’re spot on there lampardstheman.

Keep Godfrey, Gordon, Holgate, branthwaite, mykolenko and sell the ones you’ve mentioned.

If Ricky, Pickford and DCL want to stay then great - if they want to go then ensure it’s a decent fee.

Think some are being a bit harsh over how he has performed this year. He has had a few injuries to contend with and, in my opinion, he was rushed back too soon which only resulted in him being out for longer. He was top notch last season so I don't think we should be quick to move him on just yet.
That said, due to our precarious financial situation, I do think we are going to get rid of a lot of players this summer and begin a rebuild. its needed big time, some of this squad have flattered to deceive for too long and need moving on. We've got to hope that our recruitment has improved drastically from previous years under FM.

Frankly anyone under contract who has the ability to raise a profit will be potentially for sale. If the offers come, everyone is available. Big summer window and the fact a load of players are out of contract this summer also helps. Rebuild needed. Build it around our 2 GS. Gordon and Godfrey and cash in the rest. If we can keep Pickford and Richarlson great but I think they'll be 1st out of the door and fair play to them if they decide to go. Been great for us.

If they want to go then sell them. that's been our problem for years. Hanging on to mediocre players who underperform week in week out on massive wages. They are superstars without actually achieving anything. Rip it up and start again. Richarlison deserves to play at a higher level? Really? He disappeared for 3 quarters of the season! DCL an absolute 1 season wonder and now he wants to go to arsenal? Why? Better chance of mixing it with other prima donnas based in London? Get rid and start again. Invest in young hungry players who concentrate on football rather than fashion. Get players who do it on the pitch rather than say the right things off it. Sick and tired of our club buying these "big name" big salary players. Go back to basics. Get winners. Get players who are focused and committed. That 80s team was full of unheard of names. No superstars until they played together as a team and achieved success. BACK TO BASICS PLEASE!

14 May 2022 20:41:57
Problem is the mediocre ones don’t want to go.

16 May 2022 21:30:32
Sell the whole lot they are an embarrassment to the thousands of fans who stood outside that ground for 3 hours and sang their heart out. I was one of them and I must say I loved every min of it. Then I take my seat inside the ground and watch Pickford hoof the ball down the pitch to no one. It’s 2022 football has moved on not once did he pass it out. If 12year olds done that now their coach would ask them what the heck are yous doing this isn’t football it’s rugby.
