Moshiri must be rubbing his hands together if the stories in the press are to be believed. Some are reporting that the consortium he's in talks with are prepared to pay him his valuation of the club as well as covering the costs of the new stadium.
If that's true, his lavish yet underwhelming spending hasn't put too much of a dent in his bank balance. Be interesting to see how this all pans out in the coming weeks. Where do we all stand on FM selling up?

If they run the club properly with some success on the pitch I'm all for it.

on the fence me bud I think Peter Kenyon will definitely get the club running like a business but better the devil you know yes Moshiri has made massive mistakes but he has never not spent money when allowed add he made the dream of a new waterfront stadium a reality so i really do not know what to think.

On the fence myself, new owners won’t be a sudden quick solution we will still be constrained by FFP
But if it means we sign players for footballing reasons and not due to third party advisors then that’s a step in the right direction
New Stadium was a step in the right direction and will generate more revenue but then there is the fear that money will be paying off the stadium not helping with funds to improve the playing staff
New sponsorship will be good to generate more funds, as we have lost the Usmanov sponsorships from how I read things

We will see how things pan out and if it gets over the line.

Going to be an interesting summer with the transfer window and now the potential sale of Everton, really hope it works out with both and we can move on to better times at our Club.

{Ed025's Note - I second that GB ..

Blimey Ed we have been in the doldrums for long enough, time to bring back the glory days mate.

{Ed025's Note - I agree GB. Let’s just hope the worst is behind us mate and we can move forward..

I believe one of the comments from the potential buyers is that they will make funds available for strengthening the squad by increasing the commercial revenue. If they can do that then great but promising is one thing, doing it is another and even if they can it will take some time to implement.

Increasing commercial revenue will only aid in lowering the losses. Anyone who understands finances wouldn't make such an incorrect comment.
Player sales and reduction of the wage to revenue percentage is what is needed in the short term. Commercial growth will be slow and a small percentage of our p/ s.

Kenyon from my perspective is a good option. He did well at Chelsea so hopefully his business nous would help.

I'll look for a link but reading article by American sports adviser, about investing in EPL reporting to basically that owners are selling themselves short as if they were US based the value would be 4 times what owners demand and why so many US consortium's buying teams now.

26 Jun 2022 22:47:13
If this does happen then we have to hope that the new owners have more of a clue on how to spend wisely and of how to generate more commercial revenue streams. The stadium will help with that but it's a couple of years away.

Whether we are sold or FM keeps hold of us, it will take time to get to where us fans want. The last 6 years promised so much at the start of FM's reign but, unfortunately, it has been a bit of a nightmare. Money to spend on players was all us fans ever wanted, who'd have thought it would take us to the brink of ffp.
