So Ed with Richarlison deal all but done any idea who we are looking at in his place?

{Ed002's Note - Emre Tezgel (S) Youngster attracting the attention of Manchester City, Everton and Chelsea. Will sign a new contract at Stoke
Daniel Jebbison (S) Everton had an offer rejected in the summer but could return with another. Brighton and Union Berlin have a declared interest in the Canadian. Another one to watch.
Cyle Larin (S) Brighton and Nottingham Forest are keen with West Ham and Everton enquiring after the availability of the Canadian. Unlikely with NF pressing.
Michy Batshuayi (S) Everton, Brighton, Southampton and Leeds offer options. Another club is already in talks with Chelsea but could be a very shrewd signing, but unlikely.
Emmanuel Dennis (S) Caught by the West Ham scattergun - not the solution. Everton will show an interest as a replacement for Richarlison.}

Non of them fill me with confidence if I'm being honest and 50 million is a joke and shows just how poor BK is at negotiating the deal and how desperate we where to get money in before Fri which screams we are in a much bigger hole than we thought.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained repeatedly about the FFP mess Everton has.}

Whilst I imagine we’re all a little disappointed with the fee for Richarlison, have had a chance to think about it.

Now it’s been known for quite sometime that he wanted to leave, however it’s only spurs that showed any real interest in him.

Does that suggest he’s not as good as we all think he is? If he was as good as we all think and was clearly available why did no other team make an offer?

Anyway he’s gone now, be interesting to see how he celebrates if he scored against us.

Hopefully we can use some of the money to strengthen the squad with players Frank wants.

I think 50 mil with 10 mil add ons is reasonable let's not forget he wanted to leave and yeah people will say its tottenham but they got a far better chance than us of getting european football either champions league or europe league we havnt been no where good enough no player is bigger than any club i just hope we see sence and spend in the right areas as for replacement dennis woudnt be bad option keane lewis potter from hull maybe ismali sarr from watford but that's just my opinion.

does feel about 10m short but that's obviously because of the mess we're in on and off the pitch right now. Also feels a bit much for Spurs to pay for a Son/ Kane backup. would take Dennis + a mid (allowing us to ship out Gomes and/ or Allan) for 35 to 40 with the change going to the bank manager.

I think people are mad thinking we'd get silly money for Richy. He's our best player but let's not kid ourselves, he won't be a nailed on starter for Spurs or any other top 4 team so we were never going to get the big bucks especially in the current climate.

Also still amazes me that people are surprised how much of a mess we are in.

I know ED02 I wasn't asking you to explain anything.

Good luck to him, still think he’s to good for Spurs.

Yeh blame Bk again. ?.

30 Jun 2022 11:49:22
Exactly that Tom, why is it BK fault, I don't get it.

30 Jun 2022 12:37:03
Cheers for the reply Ed! So where else do we spend some money as the squad desperately needs it.

{Ed002's Note - Much will depend on sales.}

Gingerdan I think you have woken up and smelt the coffee. You are correct only spurs in for him. I'm sorry he's going because I like his character and how he endears himself to the fans but his stats speakon his behalf, hardly impressive. 50 million has to be seen as good business as far as I'm concerned.

Getting 60m (with the add-ons) for Richarlison is a great price. He is nowhere near as good a player as some people think.

He is effective and works very hard, which i cannot knock him for. Technically, he is ok but nowhere near the level some people make out. If i was a club in this window I would much rather pay the same money and get Raphina. He may not have the same work rate as Richy but that isn't to say he is lazy by any stretch. Technically though he is far superior.

As for replacing Richy, i really do not understand this obsession with Dennis. All we go on about is how poor our recruitment has been and this stinks of the same. "Oh he will do".

Dennis has hit double figures once in his career! Bear in mind he has played some of his seasons in leagues where the likes of our very own Onyekuru blasted numbers in the 20's.

Apps/ Goals:

Club Brugge - 4 years in Belgian Pro League.

30/ 7
26/ 7
20/ 5
9/ 0

Koln - 1 year in Bundesliga

9/ 0

Hardly fills you with confidence that he is going to deliver. At 20/ 25m we would be better served looking elsewhere.

Can't argue with 50m + add ones for him, especially since he wants to go and with the state of our finances. So how this is down to BK is a bit of a stretch really. Anything that certain fans don't like then they revert to the usual rubbish!
Let's face facts, FM has come in and spent around 500m, admittedly most of that has been wasted. This spending spree has caused us to fall foul of the ffp rules and we needed to sell one of our top players to balance the books. If anything, with clubs knowing our perilous financial affairs, they will take advantage of this and try and get themselves a better deal. Especially with someone like Levvy negotiating a deal.

30 Jun 2022 19:59:19
Richarlison is a very good player, you will see how good with good players around him. Unfortunately the mess we are in encourages the likes of Levy and his 50 mill offer. Of course Everton will spin it. Can we hold onto DCL is the question.
