Rumours we’ve had a £20m bid for Morgan Gibbs White turned down.
Frustratingly looks like Keane Lewis Potter moving to Brentford for £16m.

I can only guess we didn't really push for Lewis Potter Gingerdan and I wonder if we will up our bid for Gibbs.

If and it’s a big if Keane Lewis Potter turns out to be as good as or better than Bowen then we’ve missed a trick there.
But I imagine we may not have actually been in for him.
As for MGW think £25-30m is quite steep. He’s a decent player and has potential but as yet his form was only in the championship as was loaned out last season. If we do up our bid I’d imagine it’s because Thelwell sees him as a good addition.

Think that could be a good bit of business from Brentford for £16m
From an Everton point of view it just appears we pay a premium for players compared to other clubs.
Feel a fee in excess of £25m for MGW is quite steep - particularly when compared to LKP for £16m, doucore to Palace for £18m.

Not sure how this will be structured but with our FFP issues this does worry me, especially as we need to improve several positions. Doesn’t he play same position as dele too? Hope where not stockpiling attacking CMs like we did under Walsh!

I was thinking the same Rlchris. Do we need another 10 or should we be pushing for backup for DCL, a RB and RW? 25 mil seems a lot for an unproven youngster - don’t we have a load of those for much less in the academy?

We’ve got Coleman and Patterson.

Coleman is well past it and Patterson isn't ready yet to be depended upon. Choice 1:Coleman leaves and and experienced dependable right back comes in whilst Patterson stays and gets game time without relying on him. Choice 2 we keep Coleman as backup and loan Patterson out. The second option would be good if there was a suitable club willing to take him on as their main right back.

How do you know Patterson isn't ready? The lads been injured. Coleman would be fine as a back up, could play in cup games to keep his levels up.
Midfield is the biggest area of concern right now, not right back.

I’m with Brassington.
Patterson should be our starting rightback (he’s got the number 3 shirt) with Coleman as back up.
Definitely want us to concentrate on midfield before we even contemplate any other position.

Personally think we need a DM to sit in front of the back 4 like Delph did back end of the season. Then we need a back up ST.
