Strange that Guernsey considering it’s been reported by some reputable sources (Fabrizio Romano and elbobble) that a bid was received and turned down.

What is Gordon’s best position? I don’t see him as a winger and If we play with wingbacks then he would need to be in a midfield 3 or a wide attacker. He can play a 10 role too. From a business point of view we have other players who can play in those positions and could have a better balanced team if we got a striker in and another CM.
From a supporters point of view he is one of our own and Frank is starting to build a younger team and Gordon could be part of it for 10yrs. I know he isn’t the finished article and he needs to add more goals to his game. He gives us a different dimension with his pace but more importantly he gives us energy and plays a high tempo. We have sold players before and moved on but it is vital we use it wisely to be stronger after it if that means we get two players in which makes us more balanced and good long term ( not just a stop gap) then that is Franks decision. I hated it when Rooney left but Moyes bought well and made us stronger.

Well 50M would be great if we spend the money wisely. We seem to be doing better than in the past but the jury is still out about the present management. So I am still nervous, if we sell our best players and bring in more duds we are doomed.

I think he'd go, I know some people here think he's home born and bred evertonian but he's never distanced himself from speculation recently, well not what iv seen or heard. I think his ambition is bigger than what Everton can offer at the moment, but I don't think he will get regular games at Chelsea!
