With Coleman, Young, Patterson and Dixon, I’m not sure it’s a priority. We’re shorter at left back than right back. Unless a couple more leave, I can see us sticking with what we have.

Exactly GB. Coleman and Young should be used sparingly, Paterson clearly Dyche doesn't rate and as exciting as young Dixon is still very raw and wants easing in.
This lad bit more established, although I'd much prefer we somehow find that bit extra and get Wan Bissaka in if it was at all possible but doesn't look likely.

I agree JB, we are in much more need of a LB than we are for RB. I hope Patterson kicks on this year and makes that RB spot his with Dixon getting some minutes also.
To be fair tho we've already had a much better transfer window so far than i expected. Time will tell how the new recruits get on but I think we're stronger than last season as it stands.
I hope we get a winger in with pace to burn that can beat a few players and get the crowd up on their feet. Who that is tho is anyone's guess.

True, but we offered them new contracts so next summer would be the time to invest in a new right back. I’d rather we committed the funds elsewhere.

PNE mate. Young should be used to help motivate the players, but should not be in the first eleven. Keane has had his day, needs to move on.

With no more sales or moving anyone on I see RB as our weakest position. Young should be a sub and utility cover player. Coleman is unfortunately past it now. He has been a great player for the club but he's gone, I don't mean that disrespectfully but it's true. Patterson has not done anything in the years he has been here to even suggest he could play as a cover RB, he needs to be moved on asap. Only my opinion of course but RB is such a weak position we had our 3rd/ 4th choice centre back play there better than any of the others for the most part of last season.

i know some have been really impressed by Dixon this summer, but he really needs a loan this season to help him get to grips with the physicality of mens football
absolute rapid which is great but would probably benefit more from that.
