Just reading that John Textor is in the closing stages of selling his Palace shares, just a bit of good news for a change, hopefully as soon as it's done the sale of Everton can go ahead and we can all look forward to a new era.

Yes we can only hope GB. Just some stability, someone who can sort out the financial mess and an owner who cares about the future of our club would be a welcome change.

There has been some push back on Textor's claim that he is moving ahead at a good pace on his Everton tackkover, the push back comes, apparently, from EFC insiders.
However, I do wonder if this push back is coming from people more concerned about their continuing role on the "gravy train" . Just saying.

From what I have been reading it sounds very exciting as he wants to have this all sorted by the end of November at the latest so he's in charge for the transfer window, could be a very exciting times, but we don't want to do what we have in the past, throw money at bang average players, just hope we can find some form to give us a chance to stay in the league.

Mr Textor can bang his drum as much as he wants, but, until such time as he clears his interests in Palace, all the noise amounts to nothing, and time doesn't stop for nothing, and we don't have time before we are in serious trouble both on and off the pitch.

He could have plenty of people who want his shares, I doubt he will sell anything until he's given 100% guarantee he will become the next owner of Everton.
