Sergio Conceicao now number 1 choice to be installed as new Everton manager according to many outlets. he is Freidkins choice once the takeover goes through, talks remain ongoing as the new manager seeks assurances about transfer money being available to him before taking the job! Hope this is true, his CV is very impressive albeit in Portugal.

One thing i like about him is that when he took over Porto, they had not won the league for 4 seasons, which for them is long time. That shows he came in when things weren't great and turned it around, which is exactly what we need and quick.

Quality manager first one to get me excited. Would still deem. it unlikely.

Upset a few here, but not the time for a fancy foreigner manager, besides the squad ain’t good enough - not even Pep would get a tune out of this lot.
Back to basics. Get Moyes in. Will steady the ship. Then look for the fancy managers in time.
Regardless MASSIVE game now Wed - we need the 3 points. Just hope Goodison isn’t a library, it’s got to rock under the lights for us to have any chance. COYB.

So just keep making the same mistakes again. Get someone in who keeps us up, then watch us struggle again the next season. Need to get away from this conveyor belt of mediocre managers.

Agree Brass. We shouldn’t be looking for a manager to just keep us up - we need a manager who will improve us going forward. Moyes isn’t the answer. He would be a hugely unpopular choice amongst a large portion of our fanbase and wouldn’t take long for things to become toxic toward him. Would be a huge mistake. The usual slate of mediocre, firefighter managers should not be anyway near the list of potential future bosses.

It should even be that complicated. Evidence of getting results, evidence of playing a decent style of footie and developing players. Done. Everyone would get behind that.
I don't personally mind moyes but, what's the point if half the fan base hates him.
Just some clubs including ours just seem to excell in picking incompetent people. Foreign or not is irrelevant, quality is all that matters.

Short memories a lot of you have, new you manager coming up with bright new ideas, didn't we do this already , problem with new manager coming up they need a half decent team to apply there new attacking football, Moyes on the other hand could make a average player play well in a team, pluck good players from lower leagues, keep us in the top 10 nearly every season, but because I will say most, are septic, can't getover he chose man United and tried to buy our player, oh dear God, he wasnt the first and he won't be again, Moyes till the end of the season, then see how it goes from there, no fancy Dan is getting anything but the sack if they join Everton now, we are as bad as any team in the top league, we need a manager who knows the league and Moyes does.

I think most on here have admitted we got big headed and demanded Silvas head far to impatiently because we thought we had an open cheque book and wanted to get to the CL now now now. Think the fan base will be a little more like the Fonze this time.

Never works going back. Even Howard Kendall our best manager struggled.
Will have new owners, new ground and new manager.
