Graham Potter back on the radar this morning with many saying he could replace Dyche with Freidkin interested, he would be my choice.

Agree5 Disagree0

And has been mine for ages.

Would be pleased with Potter as he did well at Brighton and got the team playing some attractive football which is a million miles away from what we’re served up.

However, think he would need a pre-season to get his ideas across and him coming mid season may not be the best timing for him.

Hopefully Dyche can keep us up and then we part ways with no massive pay out as he definitely doesn’t deserve it with the dross we’ve had to witness and we can start a fresh next season.

I'd trust Dyche to keep us up mid season over Potter

Potter could potentially move us on as a team but am not convinced at all and stated many times, his record isn't actually that good! And people being blinded by his time at Brighton. There is a reason he has been overlooked by so many teams in last 18months including England.

Certainly be wrong candidate to bring in mid season with the squad on offer, just by opinion and happily being wrong.

What's he done? I don't get it but maybe a club that's lost it's way and a head coach who's done nothing for years whilst waiting for a top top job and hasn't had a sniff may well end up as a union that sparks both back to life but seems odd to me in any metric.

24 Dec 2024 11:58:21
Forget Potter, many teams have overlooked him already, so there must be a good reason for that. The guy at Bournemouth Areola is the one for me, done an outstanding job and has beaten all the top teams already this season!

24 Dec 2024 13:30:57
Thomas Frank please, I reckon he might fancy the challenge of waking the sleeping giant and he’d get us playing football again.

24 Dec 2024 15:10:43
If it’s Potter then need to bring in his scouts as well. End of day the new owners will decide who they want, and our job will be to support whoever it is.

24 Dec 2024 15:26:38
He would also be good JB.

24 Dec 2024 16:46:04
Not sure why Thomas Frank would come to us. As for Potter he has been out of football management for too long. He would take time to get up to speed which we can't afford, maybe in the summer but not now.
We need someone who is active in management now, has done a good job with his present team, who is experienced but not too old, who will be with us for a long period of time and who has a successful track record of recruiting and developing young players.

24 Dec 2024 17:28:04
They are still looking abroad.

24 Dec 2024 17:49:01
Remember Mike Walker anyone? Be careful what you wish for.

24 Dec 2024 18:19:38
He may have taken Brentford as far as he can, Everton have the potential to be a ‘big’ team again, that may appeal to him. Carlo came didn’t he?

24 Dec 2024 19:29:42
Yes I think it was the £MMMMMS that attracted him JB ?.

24 Dec 2024 21:11:56
There should be more to spend over the next few years than there has been over the last few.

{Ed025's Note - hopefully JB, lets just hope they dont squander it like our last incumbent mate..

25 Dec 2024 04:07:30
Thomas Frank will be in line for Spurs job I think - Bournemouth manager too.
If pep walks could also see Bournemouth manager being considered there.
Takes a brave manager to drop from European positions to us - unfortunately we seemed cursed - where managers and strikers come to die ?
Lee Carsley would be interesting but can’t see new owners going for a him - Carrick, Potter, McKenna all an upgrade on Dyche.

25 Dec 2024 08:25:28
Scooby Doo an upgrade on SD Sobs!

25 Dec 2024 08:51:47
Mike Walker is a good shout. Back in the day everyone wanted him. His team played good football, and he was seen by many to be perfect for us. However, the step up proved a disaster. Going from a club were it was an achievement to just stay in the league, to one were you were expected to win trophy’s was to much.
So nam is right, just be careful what you wish for.

25 Dec 2024 17:40:22
Potter not my choice. What has he done?

26 Dec 2024 11:57:57
Might as well go for Harry Potter? Mayb he can weave some of his magic.
