Do any Eds think we have a chance of signing Liam Delap?
I think the likes of Tom Fellows and Charlie Alcarez would be brilliant acquisitions but somebody like Delap would be an amazing marquee signing going into BMD.

Think he will rejoin City who will loan him out depending on who they want to buy. Can see a deal where Branthwaite is wanted by City plus we get offered Delap on loan plus 30m.

If City wanted Branthwaite then would ask for Delap but not as a loan. Swap plus cash let's see just how badly they want him.

If he goes to city, then good luck to the kid. He could be playing week out for Everton. Rather than stuck on the bench for city.

Cookie you genuinely think we’d let Branthwaite go for £30m and the option to loan Delap for a season?
That’s like a £40m package tops!
Think the only way Branthwaite goes to city and we did actually want Delap then it would be Delap coming to us on a permanent plus something like £40m cash and a sell on fee included in any future sale of Delap.
Branthwaite all day long is a £70m+ player.
No way is Delap currently worth more than £30m based on one season in the league.

I said that would be city's initial offer. Think it will end up at 50-60m plus Delap on loan for year before we accept. But I don't know just a feeling.

Sorry cookie didn’t see anything regarding an “initial” offer just read what you’d written.
Will be interesting to see what happens with JB - unfortunately think there’ll be a lot of interest in him this closed season - hopefully don’t need to sell but if we do decide to we should be in a decent position to negotiate for once.
