Anyone know what has happened to young Dixon ? shamus young and Patterson will be gone in the summer. and have never heard of this Greek player either is he decent GB.

Roman Dixon although a good player is clearly not the right level needed for the premier league. He’s 21 this year so if he was good enough he’d already be a regular in the first team squad wouldn’t he. At a guess he’ll eventually be sold to a lower league club like Simms (not good enough) .
Some footballers are obviously better than others.
I find on this site a lot of fans just want to play players cause they’re young but in reality it doesn’t matter how young they are they have to be at the right level.
We need to buy a right back who’s not just good enough but who’s first choice.
Patterson’s not good enough either.

How is he clearly not good enough? Lads hardly had a look in. On that basis O’Brien must have not been good enough, as he was never picked by the manager.
The manager now had the opportunity to play some of these players before preseason, like O’Brien some might surprise him.

O’Brien is at the level needed. Bought from Lyon, straight into the first team squad and selected when our manager thought he was ready to play. Our manager will play the players that are at the level needed for the premier league. Unfortunately although good players a lot of the U21 won’t get a look in and will be sold as they are not at this level regardless of how young they are. That’s why we buy players like Ashley Young.
