Carrick sacked. ! Why not get him in as number two and maybe he could take over after moyes.

Can’t we just do that that with Baines or Coleman?

Exactly JB True Blues both of them.

Being a true blue doesn't make you a good manager, but nevermind it was just a thought.

They were people in here crying out for Carrick to replace Dyche. He won't be out of a job long.
04 Jun 2025 22:02:59
True, it doesn’t. Don’t think Carrick will want to step into a no.2 role now though.

He wouldn't be number two for very long moyes contract isn't that long I believe, best forgetting I ever said it.

“Why was he sacked? ”
That’s the question we should be asking. Apparently, he wasn’t very popular amongst the fanbase and was rigid in his style. Sound familiar to anyone we sacked this year?

Bank rolled for 3 three years to challenge for the league, didn’t manage the playoffs.

Correct JB, basically he is a 'failure' in this context.

Think we should be looking at Moyes to build on last season and then look for a higher profile manager than a Carrick.

All started to go downhill for Carrick when his assistant left last summer to join Bayern Munich with Vincent Kompamy. Shows the power of having a strong assistant.

Personally think Carrick is a very good manager but I want Everton to be looking at experienced quality managers who have a history of winning.
For now though Moyes needs to stay to get us further up the league and build the club back up. Then hopefully we need to thinking like the big club we are.
