Ed, could the club sell Goodison Park to the ladies team via a third party for say a few hundred million.
{Ed025's Note - im not sure how it works Woburn, Chelsea apparently done something similar but finance issues are not my strong point mate, what i will say is that TFG seem very savvy and i think we will be very stable with these guys in charge..

I wouldn't be surprised at all if other clubs, including us, follow Chelsea's lead. Currently, it's the only way we can be competitive.

It’s awfully shady to me.
I reckon clubs are going to get desperate for making money to compete with the breakaway 6 in the next few years to try and get into the super league so would not be surprised if stuff like this goes on.
{Ed001's Note - UEFA are investigating the sale as of now, so I would expect other clubs to wait and see the outcome of that before they do so. It is a fast growing sport though, so a very shortsighted way of making cash. Arsenal are already filling the Emirates when they have their women's team play there. There is no reason others can't do the same. Before the English FA banned it in the 1950's, women's football had higher average gates than the men's game.}

That’s a good idea Woburn, can’t beat them fairly, then play them at their own game go for it.

Very true Ed. I hope that the women playing at Goodison means attendances grow for them. I’d like to see the club put together some packages to encourage families, and in particular girls, to attend for decent prices. We used to have a decent team in the 90s but like the men, they’ve gone off the boil in the last 10 years or so.
{Ed025's Note - womens football is the biggest growing sport in the world BR, so there is nothing wrong with being a part of that mate..

We'd all be happy if Chelsea were called out on it - it does all feel shady. Just a bit tired of getting our bottoms smacked when others profit.

You have to say hats off to the Arsenal ladies though they seem to be years ahead of the majority of clubs in marketing, and loyal fan base nearly 50% under 35.

I can't see EUFA doing anything. Let's face it Barcelona have been getting away with it for years and EUFA do nothing.
We should use every loophole available to us, Chelsea have set a precedent so go for it.
