I've seen all the reirs to Ivanovic link but I can't see a downside to it. We lack leadership and he has been there done that. It's just wages and we do have some amazing potential at the back that could learn off n on the field from BI (Feeney, Branthwaite, Kenny and Holgate) .

I would much rather do this and save some spending for midfield and goals - there won't be much and most in same boat but not many have the pulling power of Carlo. Would definitely go in for Sarr, Dacoure and get what ya can for Sig, Bolasie and Mina but that's wishful thinking.

I thought Feeney had been released by the club.

you can't see a downside to signing a 36yr old defender in a team already lacking pace?

How'd that importing leadership from an aging player work out with Delph? Let's do that again.

Sorry coyb don’t think you can put that down to age.

According to transfermarkt stats - Delph has missed 112 games due to injury in his career whilst Ivanovic has missed 24 games.

We bought a crock in Delph. He spends more time injured than playing.

Nothing to do with his age why we haven’t benefited from Delph’s potential leadership skills - it’s because of his abysmal injury record.

Ivanovic has a much better injury record so we may actually benefit from his leadership skills.

Nothing to do with age.
