If the Fellani fee is met, does that mean it has tp be paid in one lump sum i. e. If Arsenal meet the amount but say they will pay over three years, can we reject it as it doesn't meet the buy out clause?

Good point, hopefully the clause involves the fee being payed in full or 80/90% of it upfront, hope someone can answer

2.) 22 Jun 2013
Not 100% sure but as far as I know yes the upfront fee is what has to activate the clause so it could be 150 million but only a tenner upfront so we could reject it, the overall some is irrelevant its the upfront fee that has to trigger the clause, the only thing i'm unsure about is, is the clause only for automatic champions league places i. e already guarenteed group stage or can 3rd and 4th place teams activate it like arsenal? or is the clause just for everyone?

All details done between EPL club's monies must be paid in full within 12 months.

4.) 22 Jun 2013
Good question.

5.) 22 Jun 2013
This can be rejected, yes. The buyout fee is up front.

6.) 22 Jun 2013
At the end ov the day if felli wants to go hel go its as simple as that

7.) 22 Jun 2013
Nobody pays the fees up front. Not even the man city's and chelski's of this world. If it's a team from the same association it has to be paid within 12 months.

8.) 22 Jun 2013
As far as I'm aware all transfer fees between English clubs must be paid in full within a 12 month period, apart from add ons.

Amazing that so many people know the details of clauses that if they exist will have been made privately between player and club. link to anything substantial that proves there is a fixed fee or anything beyond the usual clauses you get in any big contract would be useful but I fear be non existent. this doesn't include a newspaper randomly saying there is a clause. if a player wants to leave to a bigger club they usually find a way of making it happen. I don't see Fellaini being in a different position from any player who is performing well at any club
