Ed what formation do you think we will play under Martinez I know a lot of people expecting us to play 3-5-2 and I have wanted this system for years even since we had lescott. Some have suggested 4-3-3 the reason I doubt we will play 3-5-2 is that we have got a settled back four which is solid, it would disrupt baines & Pienarr partnership it would be a bold move by Roberto to change to 3 at the back and I think it will dictate what players we bring in. We would need cover for RWB if Coleman was injured we would need more cover at CB along with the other positions we need GK (backup), CM, ST. {Ed025's Note - i see 4-3-3 as the favourite robbie

If that's the case Ed I think we need a couple more attacking wide players like Mirrallas like Nani or I like Giovanni Dos Santos. Can Honda play out wide don't know that much about him or maybe Naismith might be better in a more advanced role. the 3 in midfield would be Gibson, Fellaini? and one other not sure if Osman or Piennar would fit into the system I prefer Pienarr out wide but don't think as a wide attacking striker and I think Osman can look lightweight and slow if we get outnumbered in midfield. It will be interesting if RM sticks with Jelavic if he does he needs to say you are my main striker and supply him no point in buying someone else and Jelavic being on the bench because he is a confidence player. But hey ho its all about systems and that's up to Roberto to decide whatever he does In Martinez we trust. {Ed025's Note - we have to trust him robbie..

Don't think Martinez will be brave enough to come in and try to change too much too soon. Think it's more likely for him to slowly make changes to the style of play and the formations we use. Should be very interesting how he lines up the teams in the pre season tour in the states it'll certainly give us all a better idea of what he might plan to do anyway {Ed025's Note - and i cant wait andy..

Well need at least 5 first team cb's to play 352. lose one or two to injury or suspention and we're screwed. right now we only have 2 cb's. i'd hate to see heitinga play every game

I think it will be a case of evolution rather than revolution. I'm sure that if all our supporters show a little patience that we will reap the rewards that greater positivity in our play will surely bring.
