Same top six as usual, boring! But the team of the season selection, I couldn't see a single player of all 33 that plays outside of the top 6. Are you honestly saying that Luke Shaw is the 3rd best left back? How many mistakes will Stones make verses Willy Boly? Sane is out for I don't know how long and still makes your list? And the only thing Pogba will do this season is get his manager sacked. Honestly, way too safe.

What absolute tripe. A very lazy article! I do not disagree about the teams being in the top 6 but when it comes to the players of the season i feel it was pathetic! Shaw, Rose, Pulisic, Luiz etc. Zero basis or justification apart from they play for the big 6.
Consideration for Digne, a great 1st season and fully expect him to kick on! Maddison will have another great year, as will Declan Rice. If age doesn't start to impact the Moutinho should be right up there. Much expected of Ndombele too. I could go on and on but what's the point when some fans are so blinkered in their views that only the usual teams are worthy of a mention.

Totally agree Worcester. When I read something that annoys me I tend to walk away before commenting. Well I've given this article time and I'm more annoyed now than when I wrote my first reply! The sheer ignorance of the rest of the league is downright insulting.

It really is Toffee Ace. you're example was a perfect example of how insulting it was to players outside of the top 6 teams, Sane who is seriously injured and likely to play almost no football for Man City this year. Its a simple case of Oh its a City player so i call him as team of the season no matter what.
Unfortunately there's an awful lot of this view around. I've read on a certain teams page how every single player is terrible and wouldn't get near their squad because their players are world class in every position, each one in the top 3 in the world for their position. Its extreme bias and disrespect. Call them out on it though and watch the venom spew.

I was talking about league positions. I don't know how those players will perform after one game bar Sane who will be out for a lengthy period. But only two players outside the top six have made the team in three seasons Lukaku and Betrand.

Macon. My entire point is down to the team of the year. I’m not on about the first 11 but the entire 33 players listed. Surely you can find some players outside of the current top six that can be listed. The article is ignorant of the players from 7-20, your understanding of the context is lacking.
