"Benitez hasn't done much recently to deserve the Everton job"

The same people:

"Let's get Moyes back"

Unbelievable.

Swan. be honest are you telling me that there are people saying bring Moyes back and also think Benitez doesn’t deserve the Everton Job . 😆. Rafa Benitez belittled our club when he was manager of our Arch rivals (oh what a crime) , Moyes belittled us with comments like ‘Everton v City is like taking a knife to a gun fight’ whilst he was our MANAGER 👀.

Moyes had a good record against City both home and away. It’s too late for Moyes for me the game has changed too much, but in the same breath, regardless of taking over the Utd job, who wouldn't with that spending power and reigning Champions tag would turn down Utd with limited spending at Everton available.

For every gem Moyes got he had to sell within a couple of seasons, we did not have a pot to relieve ourselves in.

For whatever reason not wanting Moyes the guy deserves credit for where he had our club, before leaving.

With the exception of Joe Royle, every other manager has tried and failed to get Everton competing, or at least putting the teams around us to bed.

even though no Silverware I am thankful we had Moyes in that time of stability.

At least the team had some fight in them.

100% echo that bignev, deserves so much credit for all that and for the Arteta, Cahill, Stones, Coleman, Baines, Martyn buys also 👍. And then he deserves the non credit for the Koldrup, AVDMeyde, Richard - I’ve bought the next England keeper Wright, signings and that Semi Final against the other lot at Wembley which for me was a defining moment in my memory, as had that gone a different way I would be thinking a whole lot different about the man today. Fickle - yes! . But overall he was 👍.

I think 'BigNev' hit on it when he said 'the game has changed'
I believe it has for DM, his career reached it's zenith with us imo in terms of holding his head up and taking all the plaudits .
The Utd job simply exposed his limitations, and even when he stepped down (taking on smaller clubs) to keep himself in touch and in the spotlight he never really stood out.

We are all talking about a new manager as everyday it looks more certain that Silva is staying, our owner is brain dead when it comes to football.

Which is why we have a DoF. Let Brands take care of the football and Moshiri the Money. Put the aces in their places.
