I can't believe anyone can justify wealthy Premier League clubs using tax payers money to pay their staff . If the clubs are struggling financially then so be it . It's completely different when they choose to effectively lay off their non playing staff but find the money to pay their top stars, whom many will be paid well in excess of £100k per week . A 30% cut in their wage for one such player would pay, in one week an average wage for a whole year . This system was set up to protect jobs and companies from bankruptcy. I find it hard to condone whoever you support, as I was disappointed with Everton choosing a gambling company as a sponsor .
