Hi Ed’s. It’s very early in the season but if we were to end up in a spot for Europe, would we see FFP kick in and the potential deduction of points which could push us down the league and put of Europe (and potentially into relegation) ?

If we are fined, we can cope with that better than a points deduction. Is there any similar situations to ours from history that can gauge what would likely happen?

{Ed002's Note - A UEFA charge will not see a deduction of points.}

Isn't there a hiatus at the moment. That is not to say that financially we still need to work hard at reducing deficit (Brands working hard we are now seeing what this guy is all about) . As to Europe, we haven't really played anyone yet in the Premiership, I still believe a top 7 finish will be progress, anything above a bonus,

Played spurs and made them look very average.

Well Liverpool played a team yesterday that just avoided relegation last season and look what happened. Yes we will lose at some stage but so will everyone else. I would say that we are well positioned for a top six place this season.

Thanks for the speedy reply Ed.

It does make you wonder with all the money in the game and the massive wealth of the owners of clubs whether fines do anything these days.
