There was a time when some of us, myself included, wondered how DCL would forge a career with us as a number 9. Loan moves were suggested, prior to CA becoming our manager, as the lad wasn't scoring enough goals needed from a premier league CF. I've read a few of his interviews since he has been on international duty and it certainly makes a change from the last top CF we had whenever he went on his international breaks!

We could all see, under Silva, that Dom was always expected to drift out wide rather than be in and around the box waiting for chances. CA has tweaked his role and look at the lad go now! Small details really do make a difference at this level, fair play to Dom for lsitening to and implementing the changes. Also, for those who have questioned the role of Duncan should acknowledge his part in turning DCL into the goal machine he's been so far this season.

I don't know of any questions re Duncan's role atm in fact I have seen and heard of nothing but praise etc. especially since his 'caretaker manager stint' which was universally acknowledged as a 'success'.

Dom is reaping the rewards of being managed and coached 'properly' and it shows clearly his true capabilities as a striker, exposing the blinkered approach of previous managers maybe.

We should always give fans a pass when perhaps 'jumping the gun' tempers fray and the blame game commences, personally I don't ask any fan to take back what they have wrote or said because we 'all' do it!

That's the difference between a world class coach and the rest blue potato. I have been very impressed with DCL who speaks very well in interviews and comes across as a very intelligent individual. He is obviously smart enough to learn from the best, will only get better with experience and we are lucky to have him.

I was one who questioned his ability, 1 week like Graham Sharp the next like Pat Sharp! . I am pleased he is proving me wrong 👍.

247, there were a lot of fans on a variety of sites that wanted Duncan to leave when Silva was sacked as he was part of the management team. Some really went for it with regards to his coaching ability so I'd like to see some eat humble pie and acknowledge that he's doing a decent job. Not too much to ask is it? There's a few on here and a few on other sites but they gave him both barrels!
Mike, totally agree with every word mate. Imagine what kind of team we would have now if Moshiri had appointed CA in the first place! A lot of wasted cash but we're finally heading in the right direction.

Is that what this is all about BP ''humble pie''? lol I personally don't want that in fact I am just happy that things worked out for the best and we 'all' have something to cheer about and those that differed from me can now see the 'error of their ways' full stop, because that is what it's about, cheering because our team has made us cheerful, don't you agree?

We questioned Duncan’s role because we had numerous managers come in and our strikers only seemed to be getting worse, Sandro couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat, Moise Kean had all the grace of a giraffe on a skateboard, Lukaku had the aerial ability of a dead slug, Tosun had the mobility of a sloth in a shoebox and Calvert Lewin had the finishing ability of a 70 year old man who’d just downed 8 glasses of whisky.

Blue247, it was about Dom, Dunc was a side issue but I answered your comment. Of course we all want harmony but that never happens does it? We will have fans slating players whenever mistakes are made and if you think otherwise then you're being blinkered. If people are going to have a go over certain players/ staff for not doing a good job then I believe they should at least acknowledge when things are going well.
haha, Swan, definitely have a point with managers but, with DCL, the fact that he was told to drift wide is more the reason why he had the finishing ability of a 70 year old, he's certainly knows how to put the ball in the net these days.

If you want harmony Bluepotato then chiding fellow blues is hardly the way to go about it, let sleeping dogs lie and simply enjoy what we have right now, and whether you agree with Swan or not he gave the perfect response i. e. he was candid also he blended it with humour.

Blue, behave mate. The post was about how Dom has improved etc with a side note mentioning Dunc and that's the only thing you picked up on really. No need for your condescending comments, I'm not a child so give up on telling me what to do! Don't like a post? Move on, simple really. What has Swan's reply got to do with you? What has my opinion on his reply got to do with you? I replied to him, I did find it humerous so I'm not sure what your point is there. I look forward to you policing each and every comment in the future.

I think you missed the point completely it's you
that wants 'others' to do what you say and that's just being petulant! act grown up and stop the hypocrisy, as you just want people to agree with you and only post stuff that pleases you yes it's all about you isn't it mate?

Honestly buddy I give up on you now.

Not about me at all I just don't see why you think it's okay to try and bully me? As that's what it seems. I was polite to you even when you were being condescending in the first place, the post was about how DCL has improved and how some fans should give credit where credit is due. You made it out to be more than that and then tell me to grow up? hahaha
I don't want people to 'agree' with me, football is about opinions isn't it? If you want to talk about stuff then fine but don't expect people to lie down just because 'blue24/ 7' has spoken! As I said in last reply, if you don't like something that is put on here then keep scrolling it really is that simple. I'm glad you're done as you're getting a bit boring for me, not into preachers at all.
