Re the incident any other football fan would have moved on by now. Add Rio Ferdinand to the list. There’s not been much better than him.

They just all need to shut up now and move on. I’m pretty fed up of this incessant complaining already. The tackle was a red. The officials were wrong and the lad is out for a long time. Our players aren’t the only ones to earn reds and Liverpool players aren’t the only ones to be on the wrong end of a very bad challenge.

But please can they and their fans just shut up and get on with it. There’s worse and far more important things than this going on. People are losing loved ones to a disease there’s no current cure for. Far worse than losing a centre back for a season. 🙄.

Pickfords tackle might be deemed rash but he was doing what 99% of goalkeepers would do, throwing himself at the ball to narrow any goal scoring angles

I didn't see any intention at all of aiming at the VVD to injure him while I did see VVD deliberately set out to foul Richarlison and DCL before the incident. Luckily they weren't seriously hurt

I hope VVD makes a quick and full recovery - nobody wants to see a player injured. In my opinion Pickford certainly didn't and doesn't deserve death threats and the like.
