Interesting to see a reds perspective, unsurprisingly biased in their favour.
Totally agree we were lucky with the VAR decisions.
However your criticism of James seems a little over the top going on about James rolling around on the floor being embarrassing when you’d have sworn mane had been decapitated by Gomes when he didn’t actually touch him and Robertson spent so long rolling around when Mina pushed him to avoid the ref Looking at the way he kicked out at Allan.
Also to see nothing in the tackles Virgil made prior to his injury is laughable - he was clearly trying to make a statement and mark in the game and if had been later in would probably have had a yellow for at least one of them.
Hopefully he makes a swift recovery from his injury - never nice to see a player injured.

Of course there’s bias in their favour; we would do the same if written by one of us.

Interesting read Ed. It’ll be interesting to see if we can still compete with you at Anfield. Thought the view on James was a bit harsh especially given the play acting was apparent on both sides. Agree with you there Gingerdan, there was certainly more than just James who should have been mentioned.

What also goes without mention is the cute little kick out from the deck by Mane similar to that which had Beckham sent off when he did similar on Simone
Love to hear the thoughts on that when it’s done to a Reds player 😉
And we are well aware of our lack of squad depth, still a work in progress, but does all the kerfuffle over Van Dijk and also Allison highlight a lack of squad depth for Liverpool as well 🤔.

I stopped reading at Robertson as it’s too biased towards Liverpool. The summary of the game and Everton I couldn’t argue with but if your going to point out James play acting then surely you should say about Robertson acting dead after he fouled someone off the ball, (Mina? ) . Then Mane’s play acting was much worse than James but I’m not sure if you’ve mentioned this in the article.
