Football is a funny game. it’s not the game it once was and that most of us can relate to.
Owners have huge, usually short term financial investment into clubs and want a return on that investment at some point, we fans have an emotional investment which lasts a lifetime and unfortunately the 2 are never fully aligned.
I think the owners will do whatever they think is the right call for their investment and not necessarily the club and its supporters yet we think the other way round.
I am 100% sure that a Benitez appointment is a disaster but what to do if they do take him on?

Do I grit my teeth and support unconditionally or take a stance and give up on a lifetime of loyalty, love and passion and take a sabbatical and hope that the appointment fails in the way I had hoped. and quickly?

I love Everton football club but feel that the last few years we have been taken advantage of and probably more so with the lowlife CA and the way he dropped us like a teenager at a school disco and the conundrum is do I take a stance and hope others follow suit and show that the mismanagement won’t be tolerated or let heart rule head and let the decline continue?

I’m worried and excited, optimistic and pessimistic. I just want the best for us and Benitez is not the answer.
Please do the right thing gentleman.

The same mismanagement that has thrown cash at the team? The same mismanagement that is getting us a new, shiny stadium?
If it is Rafa, what's the problem? It's not like we haven't had anyone with a strong link to our neighbours before. Sheedy, Reid, Beardsley, Hutchinson etc etc.
