Looks like I won't be stepping foot inside a football stadium again if they are asking for proof that I have had my jab
Shame really I was looking forward to our new stadium, could be the end of football for me.

{Ed033's Note - If only people knew about the UK Yellow Card system or the VAERS system in USA and know that maybe only 1% even gets recorded?

Jcl1878 agreed. For me though it is not just personal opinion but rather so-called 'free press' and their obsession with selling papers and viewing figures. Up to you skylark mate don't get jabbed don't watch football. Choices.

I'm with you, skylark. Will wait and see if they make it mandatory, I'm sure there will be a lot of strong opposition to this two-tier society they are trying to enforce!

Ducks your spot on. Other than checking the headlines, I actually stopped listening to and reading main stream news 2 yrs ago for various reasons. So whether its from the bullens road, the local or your arm chair stay safe all and enjoy the footy!

I'm with you Skylark my season ticket will be sent back and I will be done with the club and ducksflysouth ever heard of discrimination bud and jcl1878 how does people getting the jab keep other people safe you either trust the vax to keep you safe or you don't.

I work in front line NHS and have dealt with severely ill and massively high death rates during the worst and now the backlog on the system. Since vax it's cleary, cleary reduced severity of the sickness, and deaths. If having passports including for large sporting events that helps keep that rates down, then, for the sake of the general public then i can see why it's being considered. that said I can also see why it would be annoying those that haven't been vaccinated of course.

It's a tricky one

It wouldn't bother me to have to get a vax passport to attend a large public event.

{Ed025's Note - i dont want this to become political but i cant understand why people are not crawling over broken glass to get the vaccine, not only are you protecting yourself but also your family members and the more vulnerable in society, all these nay sayers are blocking beds when they get ill stopping people with cancer, heart problems and other serious illnesses getting treatment, stop being so bloody selfish and get jabbed ffs.
Dont believe all these conspiracy theorists with their outlandish theories, it doesn,t hurt, there are no microchips in them and its free...rant over..

How is it discrimination? Pretty sure those that have medical reasons not to be able to benefit from the vax (the unfortunate folk who will be most susceptible if the C.V. continues to circulate) will be exempt so those affected would be fine to attend the match still. And for everyone else it's a choice, you're not being discriminated against if you choose not to go ahead and have the vax when you know the implications. Is it discriminatory to say that people must take a driving test (and pay for it) in order to safely drive a car?

Not wanting to pick a row, in your seat your more or less safe, but under the stands, your in a crowded poor air flow space, just the right conditions to catch coved, so I would feel much safer sharing that space with the fully vaccinated.

{Ed025's Note - i fully understand that JCW..

I've been waiting for ages to get the jab. I especially wanted the tracking bit of the vax so I could ring the government when I'd had a few too many and they could let me know where I was.

{Ed025's Note - love it smit..

ED25 you say you wonder why people are not crawling over broken glass maybe have a look at the yellow card scheme that should tell you why and that's only 10% of adverse reactions add in according to PHE 62% of current bed occupancy are people who have had both Jabs I'm happy to wait for more long term data before even considering get it for a C.V. that I have 99.9% chance of surving it also does not protect yourself or and JCW it does not protect others as you can still catch it and transmit it I miss the good old days of a 1 tier system instead of the current 2 tier system we now have of vaccinated thinking they are better than the unvaccinated I think I'm done with this site now shame really but you can see where it's heading and.

{Ed025's Note - i think anything that helps is worth having BMD, a 99% vaccine may never happen so for me take whatever is on the table, i will be sorry to see you leave though mate..

Learn what discrimination is, Brankwymoordock. You have the right to take the vax, but choose not to, thus putting others in danger. That isn't discrimination.

Using that 62% bed occupancy as evidence that the jabs aren't effective is either naive or disingenuous. Way more than 62% of the adult population have had both jabs (think about 75%) so in fact that actually shows that the vax does have an impact. Add into that, that they started with the oldest and most vulnerable. So the fittest healthiest people in society aren't double jabbed yet but also wouldn't be expected to be hospitalised at the same rate so again that skews the figures somewhat. Many of those double jabbed people might be in the ground rather than in the hospital of they weren't double jabbed.
In any case, you're a great poster and this is a football forum so it'd be a real shame if you left because of differing views on a non football related matter!

I don't think there is anything wrong with waiting for the data to be presented before taking a jab or two. In fact, when you look at the data that Branky is talking about, it is a sensible option. If people who haven't had the vax are prevented from going about a normal life, well as normal as can be, before all the data is presented then that is crazy. We all have a right to make informed decisions, especially when it comes to a vax that still has emergency status.
I have no qualms with anyone who has had a vax in the same way that I have no qualms with those that choose not to have it. Not everyone who hasn't had it believes that it's the government spying on individuals, nor are they entirely anti-vax. Each to their own.

Ive had my jabs, or haven't I? I never said I've not had them or never will have them , but I'm not going to have to tell someone if I have or haven't just to get into a stadium it's no one business
We are heading down a very slippery slope if this is the way forward .
Some people cannot have the jabs and we will have a two tier system and I won't be part of it
If this is the future I will not be stepping foot inside my stadium if they want to know my medical records.

20.) 30 Jul 2021
30 Jul 2021 10:37:02
Jcw, what about flu, and meningitis, are you going to ask if they have had the jab for them as well, sorry but life is a risk, I want to go back to the old football match at my ground but looks like I won't be going as I'm not providing my personal health details.

21.) 30 Jul 2021
30 Jul 2021 21:03:49
Surely you understand the fact that we don't use lockdowns and social distancing for flu and meningitis yes?
Without these measures C.V. would run wild and kill more than 100 times more than the flu. At best we will live with C.V. and it will most likely only kill 80000 a year without any restrictions but with a vax.
I would crawl over broken glass to watch Everton so having a vax to save people's lives is a small thing to ask to watch the mighty.
