I know it is only one game but Brentford are a good outfit, especially at home, so that result was massive yesterday. I thought they would exploit our wide areas, which was the main source of us conceding goals last season but the whole team put a shift in and stopped them playing. It is amazing what a bit of collective intensity and aggression can do on the football pitch.

Mykolenko had his best performance in a blue shirt against Arsenal and he followed it up with another decent performance yesterday. He even gave us a Sheedy shimmy which I didn't think he had in him.

Tarks and Jared are only going to get better as they play more minutes with each other and get a better understanding of their games.

Doucoure showed technique I have never seen him use before, that finish for the goal was brilliant and the one he crashed off the bar was just the same.

McNeil was brilliant and as per, didn't stop running. He was rushed back early and you could see that in his performance but that's through no fault of his own.

Jimmy was superb. Always uses the ball well and that outside of the foot pass to DCL was exactly why he should be playing more centrally where he can impact games more often.

Beto put a shift in. I think it is clear that he is still adapting to the pace of the PL but that will naturally come as he settles here. He was unlucky with his finish but in his defence he did get a push in the back from their CB before he tried to dink it. He made a great run to get into position for Gueye to play the ball, so goals will come.

DCL took his goal very well. First touch was perfect and hopefully he can now kick on.

We have a decent opportunity to test Beto and DCL up top together against Luton and Bournemouth soon, which will give us a completely different dynamic to approach a game with.

If we have most of our squad fit to choose from we will comfortably stay in this league, we just need a change of luck with injuries which has recently been terrible for us.

Mykolenko is a wing back not a full back, that was plain to see yesterday. Tackles are a necessity because he leaves loads of space for the opposition. He is a good player but would be even better with positional awareness. Gueye was awful. I thought Young was good in the RB. Garner should indeed play in the middle.

Great team effort yesterday mate, when they all put in a shift they are capable of getting results and we need to see that drive and determination in every game. AO or IG are playing for their places I think as Garner was superb yesterday and should be starting from now on.
I disagree on Mykolenko, thought he was awful against Arsenal, yesterday was his best game by a mile. Hopefully he will continue in the same form.
All in all, it was a performance that us fans knew they were capable of and why we have felt disgruntled over the last month or so. We need to find consistency and win games back to back from here and climb the league. It's only one game but it sure feels good to win a game away from home!

I’d not risk DLC or Beto against Villa and give Chermiti a run out with Danjuma. It’s a game to nothing in my opinion. Keep DCL and Beto for the Luton and Bournemouth games - if we could get 6 points there, we could have the making of a mid table team this season!

Well Brentford weren't a good outfit Saturday, the opposite in fact. They still managed to cause us problems but it shows the value of taking your chances.
