Can anyone please tell me if are new signing mangala is any good ??I don't really remember him at Forest and don't watch French football either. I'm only asking because he got a load of crap for his 30 minutes for belgium the other night. I can't say anything as I haven't seen him play yet.

Seen enough of him at Forest and a little for Belgium in the summer. He is only a loan, which I think suits us best, especially given the price Lyon were asking for.

The only thing we should be worried about Ron is whether he is better than what we have in that cdm position and I think he is.

Idrissa is not getting any younger. Doucoure can't play there. Garner imo is not defensively good enough and is more of an 8 or a 10. Tim is box to box.

He spots danger well. Is good at intercepting the ball by reading the game well. Most importantly and something not many of our players can do, he looks after the ball and retains possession.

All that being said, this is Everton and we seem to make players look a whole lot worse when they put on that blue shirt.

All I know is Belgium were already losing 2-0 when he came on, and it stayed 2-0. Lad in my local is a Forest fan, and he said he works hard but is a better defensive midfielder than an offensive one.
Which makes me think he would be ideal for Dyche.

Good post ron mate i havnt seen much of him myself tbh mate but me team for Saturday would be pickford garner tarks obrien micky then have tim an dacoura infront of defence then have lindstrom ndiaye mcneil with dcl upfront.

{Ed025's Note - Doucs would be nowhere near the first team for me andy, and what i have seen Lindstrom looks a little lightweight to me, but its all about opinions i suppose mate, i expect Keane to start as well..

Lindstrom does like very lightweight indeed I seen him getting roughed up at both the Donny and tranmere games, was pushed off the ball a lot but didn’t shy out he had a run in with the tranmere right back and one of the Donny players and was right back in their faces which is a positive he just needs to bulk up a bit,

I think we need to make 442 work like emery at villa, Leicester even won the league with 442.

For the weekend I’d go
Pickford
Garner tarks obrien myko
Lindstrom tim gana harrison
Dcl ndiaye .

Will never happen in a million years of course but if we had a manager tactically astute enough to play 442 we actually have a good 25 man squad on paper.

Dixon RB for me Garner in the middle with Tim. lindstrum or harrison on the right. think we know who he will pick out of them 2 though. Doucs is a squad player now for me. are back 4 has no pace that's why I go for Dixon plus I like the lad he is going to be a star ? and he will pick Keane over O'brien. but can bring on mangala or idrissa or both to shut up shop and hold on to are 3.1 lead ??????COYB'S.

I wouldn't be suprised ed 025 if keane starts mate but he shoudnt be in the team just don't understand the logic in buying obrien and not playing him when that 20 million could of been spent in other areas like a winger who can take on the fullback i'm not expecting to win Saturday far from it but i expect a different approach in tactics we have the players to play counter attacking football not saying we will win every week but want to see some passion from the lads but for me i don't think dyche is the answer he done a good job last season yes granted but this manager is stubborn and the only tactic he seems to play is boot the ball up long and hope for the best just frustrating to watch he hasn't even got no plan b ?.

I’d agree with you there Ron, I think mcneil should also be demoted to a squad role. As for mangala not sure how much game time he gets as we have garner tim gana and doucoure fit can he play right back?

that's the team I would like to see hoping mangala is a decent defensive midfielder and the 3 up top moving around no doubt Keane young idrissa harrison start instead ?.
