I have no idea if a story i have been told, but here goes.
City will exercise there buy back option for Delap, and will use him as part of an offer to Everton for Branthwaight.
Would love to keep Branthwaight, but if he's determined to go, Delap and a big wade of cash is a good second prize.

Let's hope they get a transfer ban then. And if we want delap just buy him if the price is right ✅️.

2.) 14 Feb 2025 11:32:03
I can't see them buying another CB when they have just forked out for 2 young lads.

That would give them

Akanji
Dias
Stones
Ake
Gvardiol
Khusanov
Reis

More likely that he goes United, Liverpool, Chelsea or Madrid if he was to go anywhere I reckon.

3.) 14 Feb 2025 13:12:55
BN think the chance of him going to Utd is very slim - they had their chance but bailed at our asking price and went for Yoro instead, now they’re hamstrung by PSR their ability to splash the cash is restricted.

Hope he stays, but if he does go imagine it’ll be to a top club who can afford to pay the sizeable fee we would want.

4.) 14 Feb 2025 20:54:05
Like good says, Man Utd are in an awful position with PSR and on top of that he’s got the chance to play in the new stadium and his performances must be getting him in the England squad
Rumours bubbling that we are looking to extend his contract and give him a bumper pay rise.

5.) 18 Feb 2025 13:14:52
JB's going nowhere happy we're playing good football and as said before chance to play for England too. Only if someone like Real Madrid or absolutely stupid money £120m as would cost that much to replace him at the moment and to replace his potential too.

6.) 01 Mar 2025 10:10:07
City will get a slap on the wrist, money money money.

07 Feb 2025 12:56:52
Hi edd 25. Do you think SD will do a good job at United, do you think he will save them from relegation?

Allblue

{Ed025's Note - well he cant do much worse than their recent spate of managers AB, but they would certainly be more boring to watch mate..

1.) 08 Feb 2025 13:47:35
I can’t believe I’m saying this but I have a strong feeling we will finish above them in the league.

20 Jan 2025 13:29:24
See SD, might be back in work soon, Spurs have asked him to pop in for a chat, boy do those two deserve each other.
He'll soon stop this goal scorering noncenc.

This did make me laugh, but you have to give some respect to dyche for what he did, it's hard to say if anyone else could of handled the job with the points deductions .
He had his time, kept us up, thank you now welcome to Moyes, let's hope he can take us where dyche couldnt.

2.) 20 Jan 2025 18:53:41
I reckon his nxt job will be Leicester. Ruud will be sacked shortly i think.

3.) 20 Jan 2025 23:12:14
He'd be a great defensive coach as part of Anges team. Got a feeling he's about to have a very very long time to himself. Was it 2 years prior to us? Maybe he can learn a language or do an OU degree? Who cares though?

17 Jan 2025 18:42:01
See the premier league has now dropped it's latest attempt to doc more points from. EFC, think they may have discover that American lawyers are not officers and gentlemen, and they don't play nice.

1.) 17 Jan 2025 21:34:01
Hope the other Clubs awaiting the Wraith of the Premier league get their just desserts.

2.) 17 Jan 2025 23:07:16
Certainly no sticky toffee puddings on the menu mate.

3.) 17 Jan 2025 23:57:50
Think everyone is clear this year so don’t expect others to fall foul of the rules. Still can’t believe we were deducted 8 points. Surely w we’re not the worst run club over those years… maybe we were.

4.) 17 Jan 2025 23:58:55
Right peeed of how we have made a bloody scapegoat mate, talk about favouritism.

5.) 18 Jan 2025 09:14:25
Br I think we were amongst the worst run clubs in world football.

6.) 18 Jan 2025 15:12:50
Ed25. If found guilty of a significantly number of offences, do you think man city, will get anything more than a slap on the wrist. ?

{Ed025's Note - they really should do AB, but im not holding my breath mate..

08 Jan 2025 22:52:00
I know a week is a long time in football, but there was talk of a Brazilian striker who had scored 21 goals in 51 games, think his Name as Igor Jusus, unfortunately the story seems to have gone away. Is it still on?

Allblue

{Ed025's Note - things get put on sites as clickbait AB and i have seen that story myself mate, we may be interested but a work permit would be very unlikely im told..

Was not at test event, but the sandhill station problem, was as predictable as night follows day.
Have used train/ match bus service many times, and even with a much lower volume of people it's always a mess.
There is time to put the problem right, but, as said, you did not have to have been a genius to forsee the problem.
On match days, re route, the Southport / Liverpool trains to by pass sandhill and use all platforms for match day traffic.
In the long run, something far more substantial needs putting in place, but in the short term, temporary solutions can be found.
How about a moving covered moving walkway, or a purpose built line extension to the ground.

If the government gives the green light to standing areas in the premiership, would this significantly increase the 53000 capacity of the new stadium. ?

Allblue

{Ed025's Note - i would not think so AB, there is not much space difference to a fan sitting or standing imo mate..

1.) 19 Feb 2025 09:12:59
They would still have a seat in place I believe. So won't be like going back to the old days when you were like sardines in a tin.

2.) 19 Feb 2025 18:54:19
Great days BB, 78,000 in Goodison down to under 40,000. Put in seats and you lose almost 40,000 capacity. They should have put in more barriers to stop the swaying back and forth. We could have done that and limited the number to say 65,000, would have been safe and brought in extra revenue.

3.) 19 Feb 2025 20:18:01
Great days with fans just opening there flies and pissing down the back of your leg's ? ? ?.

4.) 20 Feb 2025 03:40:41
That was the Kop RON MAC. We were too refined to do that. Anyway how old are you? Ever been to a game where they are standing instead of seats? I went to numerous games and never had anyone pissing down my legs. Anyway I think most people stand these days anyway so a safe standing concept could have been implemented and we could have had a larger crowd at games.

5.) 20 Feb 2025 11:46:13
I'm 47 BM and went to every home game from 1985 with my dad God rest his soul and remember what i seen and heard and blokes definitely pissed in the stands at Goodison. you must of been lucky were you stood for games.

17 Feb 2025 11:57:15
Here's a competition for you.
Who is top of the league with penalties awarded?
Who is at the bottom of the league for penalties awarded?
Bet you cannot possibly guess the answer to both the above questions, now remember we are the ones who are supposed to be bitter.

Allblue

1.) 17 Feb 2025 15:24:26
Wild guess but does one play in red and one in blue.

2.) 17 Feb 2025 19:33:14
I personally would have no issues with offering Gana and Doucs new contracts on significantly reduced terms as squad players.
Not sure we will be in a position to strengthen the whole squad, we should maybe just concentrate on the first team this summer.

3.) 18 Feb 2025 09:44:37
There’s the problem. Why offer a contract to a player who is clearly past his best when we should be looking for younger talent to bring in. Don’t need a load of pensioners on the bench.

4.) 18 Feb 2025 10:31:41
Chelsea and Forest….

17 Feb 2025 00:03:30
If the club get a naming rights deal over the line, before the end of our tax year, will this make a substantial impact on our PSR situation, in other words, will it allow for a higher level of transfer funds ?

Allblue

1.) 17 Feb 2025 12:26:26
I don’t think it will impact the summer spend as that will be against the next financial year
Will impact the 3 years rolling though until the move away from PSR, which won’t be next year now from what I read, so would help keep clear of PSR breaches and the scrambling around that many clubs have to do to make the books balance

That was my take on it.

2.) 17 Feb 2025 13:54:33
As PSR covers a three year period, it should inform spending as we can plan ahead knowing what our income would be. The higher our income, the higher our outcome can be.

3.) 18 Feb 2025 15:40:27
PSR is no more after this season falling in line with UEFA's rules of 75% of turnover for transfers and wages, but EPL rules are 80% making our about £220m, before any sales or naming rights or additional sponsorship. That's approx £30m for 7 players. Rumour has it that both Doucs and Gana have 1year options at reduced wages. As I've said earlier I'd keep both and Young to strengthen the squad. Keane, DCL, Broja, Harrison can go, give Lindstrom another 12 months loan, and see how Mangala recovers after surgery.

15 Feb 2025 19:56:19
When DCL returns to full fitness, please, there should be no possibility of dropping Beto, whilst I understand the imperitive to get DCL to sign a contract extension, but Beto has proved that given the service he can deliver the goods, and I don't just mean goals, his all round display today proves he really is a player.

Allblue

{Ed025's Note - he was excellent tonight AB..

1.) 15 Feb 2025 20:12:29
The shirts is. Not even up for debate.

2.) 15 Feb 2025 20:14:01
I don't want him to sign a new contract. He's overpaid and if we can keep Beto, Chermiti progresses and we can sign another in the summer.
Don't want to go back to the lump it up for Dom so he can control it and then fluff his one on ones tactics.

3.) 15 Feb 2025 20:23:46
It is much easier to learn to use your body to good effect, to hold the ball up than it is to learn how to be a finisher mate.

I saw an improvement tonight tbf and he was up against 3 very strong lads.

4.) 15 Feb 2025 20:25:20
What is a DCL?

{Ed025's Note - a Demoted, Clinical, Layabout at the moment Chris.. :)

5.) 15 Feb 2025 20:39:04
Beto gave a real strikers display tonight. ???.

6.) 15 Feb 2025 20:48:09
Nice Ed.

7.) 15 Feb 2025 22:09:06
Turns out Beto has got a little bit of something about him eh Ed?!

{Ed025's Note - there has been a miracle Dbizzle.."praise the lord".. :)

8.) 16 Feb 2025 00:39:54
I wonder if DCL would be scoring more now we aren’t playing Dycheball…

The shirt should be Beto’s until Dom can come on as a sub and start banging them in to show he deserves to start. It would be good having some competition up front but I think DCL will be off on a free to Newcastle in the summer and we’ll be hunting for another forward.

Know this is going back a long way, but, Caterick, signings, you never got to know who was coming in untill that were presented.
Believe Moyse will come up with players that have not been on any rumours sites.

That's what their really scared of, a resurgent Everton, no longer with their hands ties by financial constraints.
Let's see who the small club is in five years time.

Givern the over priced 2nd raters we are now being offered, think we should stick with Beto till the summer.
I know he has limitations but, he gives 100% and the confusion he creates in the operations penalty box, does create opertunitys to score from second balls.

Ed 1. Didn't mean to start a thing, but did seem odd that a top player would commit to a 9 year deal, without some assurances about the clubs future status.

Allblue

{Ed001's Note - very odd mate. But he does have 500k reasons every week to do so. He did want to go to Madrid next, he had a clause in the original contract allowing them to buy him for a set price, but they have Mbappe now so no need for him.}
