I haven't posted in here for a while. Mainly because i'm enjoying the ride. We are definitely improving both on and of the pitch and for the 1st time in a long time i'm so relaxed during a transfer window.
Just wanted to ask the eds if we still have any interest in ghazzel, brahimi or dolberg. Personally i think any1 of them would be a quality signing.
{Ed002's Note - (a) Rachid Ghezzal most certainly remains of interest with Atletico and a couple of other sodes looking for a pre-contract. Lyon has offered a new deal but they think he will wait on any other offers that might be coming for the summer - perhaps something firm from an Arsenal is in his mind. (b) Brahimi was priced out of a move in the Summer and only Nice have asked recently about him. Again, I suspect he is waiting for an acceptable bid from an English Champions League side or one of a handful of Champions League sides from other countries - probably won't be available this month. (c) Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have a declared interest in Ajax's Kasper Dolberg who has also been watched by Manchester United, Rangers, Everton, Sunderland and others. The issue is that it would be too bigger jump to the first team (and perhaps even the first team squad) of the likes of the Manchester clubs or Chelsea so he should bide his time until he is ready, or make a smaller managable step up - and that could potentially go horribly wrong.}

3 players I've seen linked to us lately seem to be rooney brahimi and strootman. Eds do you know if any of these are of any interest or just rag talk. i'd be happy with them. Would provide much needed quality in depth come afcon. expecially strootman. If that guy stays fit he'd be immense.
{Ed025's Note - they are being linked because we have money to spend and january is just around the corner Anom, there are no heavy links to either of those at the moment mate but i would be very happy if that changed of course..

Not transfer related as such. But today feels like xmas eve when i was a kid. So looking forward to tomorrow. I think after moshiris comment "Watch this space" means we are going to bring someone special in tomorrow. Maybe 2 who knows. either way i'm excited.

Im exited too but can't see any movement happening tbh all our targets either staying with yhere clubs or going to another team.

The same names keep being brought up in the media. The likes of hart and ghazzel. Not that i believe what i read and take it all with a pinch of salt until a new player is officially announced. However i haven't seen any strikers linked recently. Just wondering if you know of interest in any ed. Rolons name was mentioned a while back but even that's gone quiet.

I agree if we can get him for £20m I believe he could be a talent. Sure he does it in a poor league, but the boy does have something about him. Possibly a little similar to Cenk in the way he plays.

Looking like that tosun fella is joining. don't know much about him but seems like he's highly rated.
Id like us to go for dembele from Celtic and i'd take a pint on shaw for the right price.
Sell mirrales, besic, mccarthy. Poss loan sandro and klassen to a prem league club to accustomize. Bring in garbutt and i'd be happy. don't think we need another mass of players join this window.

Watched him play over the weekend. I think he'll struggle in this league. Maybe in a few years, but not ready yet.

Am i one of the few not concerned at all about incoming/ outgoing trfs in the upcoming window? .
I have full faith in rk sw and fm to deliver what they have been promising and that's a stronger squad.
So i for one shall reserve any judgement until the window closes.

Im still hopefull that he will join us. that's if we are actually after him. He would be excellent cover for baines plus he can play left mid so he's versatile.

Pickford forster or butland would be my choice. Although there's probably a lot of unheard of quality keepers abroad.

Im very happy with our business this window so far. However it will be seen as a failed window if we cannot sort out the LB position. Its the major weakness of our team. I just hope the powers to be play a blinder and sort it sooner rather than later.
{Ed025's Note - of course we would all love a LB anom, but if no one fits the bill that is available we dont want another misfit joining the ranks, dont get me wrong martina is not the answer but to be fair to the guy the protection he has received on that left side has been non-existent, siggy has no defensive quality at all and even if we had azpiiiqueta at left back we would still concede from the left mate..

Can add klassens to the list aswell H. Again he's another very good player who hasn't had a chance. When he did play there were 10 other players playing just as bad at the time.
Then again vlasic and lookman also need game time. I guess its just finding the balance/ form to allow them game time.

I think lennon will be shiped out. Lookman/ vlasic will be cover for the 2 wide positions. I for 1 am happy with Walcott joining. He improves our starting 11 so happy days.

Been thinking the same thing blue. If Walcott comes in i'd hope lennon moves on tho. i'd be happy just to get them 2 in this window and move a few players on aswell.

Id rather vlasic and lookman get game time before him. Both are better imo.
