Evening Eds - now we are starting to get positions filled and jigsaw pieces are falling into place, who do you think are serious / genuine contenders for the RW slot: Kubo, Hutchinson, Fellows or someone else?

DCL will do well there with someone as creative as Fernandes behind him assuming he stays fit. We all know what he did when he had James supplying him so expect the same. Shame but was never going to return to those heights with us. Let’s hope Barry is decent. Feels like we have massively overpaid though, especially when you look at forest signing a highly rated Brazilian striker for £10m. Let’s hope our scouts finally get one right.

I can't see him starting for them at all. Just squad filling with a different option at no fee.
We were linked with that Igor Jesus last year. He looked as raw as Barry but you are spot on about the fee Chris.
Guessand and Emegha both available for 25m. Emegha same age and Guessand year or so older.
As you hit the nail on the head, hopefully the scouts have pulled one out of the bag. Looking at Barrys finishing last season though, I am not convinvced.

Teams with aspirations of winning things seem to be stockpiling forwards. The changes in how many subs you can make has had an Impact on this too. Goals win games after all.

Completely agree FBS, although our last Nike offering was poor by their standards and distribution issues in junior sizes.
It’ll be difficult to get a good deal with adidas as they are pretty much spent out. They put huge focus on a few teams and then offer poor deals to others. So I can’t see there being a mutual interest with adidas.
Personally I won’t ever buy a shirt with a betting sponsor. Irks me to promote such things. Just a personal view btw.

I’m now a fan of the wavy lines myself. Preferred solid blue or less, well, lines. It makes me think of an old 90s TV when the reception wasn’t great. Hoping the away kit or third choice keeper kits are a bit better so I can buy one for the young’un.

Rumour has it we have Palace as the first home game at BMD HD stadium. It will be interesting to see how accurate the rumours are tomorrow when the schedule is announced.
I know many people will want one of the breakaway 6 but I’d be happy with a team we have a good winning record against like Palace. Need to get off to a winning start in our new home.

I’ve seen some info on a few sights regarding PSR and pre tax loss allowed this year. It puts us as “should be fine” with £39m expected. It also has:
Leeds close on £42m
Burnley close on £20m
Newcastle close on £83m
Aston Villa in trouble with only £15m
Do any Ed’s know if any of this is reliable?
What winds me up is the £300m it says Chelsea can spend due to the dodgy assets sale for £200m. It also has City and Spurs able to lose £200m and Utd around £150m despite all their recent spending.
How can we compete with that? I’d like to see the impact of our new stadium on next summer’s numbers.

Would this suggest we are more likely to sign players in July after the year financial deadline?
Still can’t get over the amounts some teams can still spend despite big buys over the last few years. How clubs can be billions in debt and it not affect PSR makes me feel we just have our debt in the ‘wrong place’ sometimes.

We have to stop entertaining this idea we might go back in for Harrison. Moyes sent him back having pointed out he had not made enough assists or goals a few months earlier.
We have to trust Moyes is no fool… or at least hope he has some common sense.
Plus, if we were to get him back on loan, wouldn’t we have arranged that by now?
