The Utd match proved to me that Duncan is not a 'one game wonder' he is at the very least the very best caretaker manager we could possibly have at this moment in time. Yes the 'MK sub and subbed' affair will be a talking point with the 'footy chattering classes' however they will always find a reason to gripe!

DF to me was what we needed to carry us out of this mess and thank heavens EFC have someone on the touchline that cares with intensity like this.

Could not agree more Blue247,True passion Big Dunc.

2.) 16 Dec 2019 13:19:56
Fantastic job by Big Dunc. We have a good chance of getting a further six points from our next two league games. Arsenal are a mess right now and we should beat Burnley at home. Beat Leicester on Wednesday and one should ask "why not give the managerial job to Ferguson for the rest of the season"?

The only person who is available right now who might be better is Ancelotti because of his experience and ability to recruit players, the rest of the managerial offering you can keep especially Moyes.

According to the 'Citeh' site

It's maybe Bony for Stones??

Really, how about Aiden McGeady a marvelous player that we would miss like crazy, for another player instead, OK a step down but hey we are just so dizzy when it comes to straight swaps let's say errrm Kevin De Bruyne . . . you must have seen us coming!

Blue247

1.) 30 Jun 2016 08:42:24
Need to get the drug testers to city, Bony swap for Stones, obviously taking something.

2.) 30 Jun 2016 11:50:09
They can have some stones from my garden as long as they pay Bony's wages.

3.) 30 Jun 2016 13:35:37
It's Bony plus 20k for Stones still not a good deal.

4.) 30 Jun 2016 13:44:04
20k? I do hope you mean 20m! What the difference a letter can make.

According to 'Football Insider'

''Everton sent scouts to watch Newcastle's Georginio Wijnaldum with a view to making a move for the attacker, according to a report.

Koeman is reported to be on the verge of a move to Everton to become their new manager and is thought to be a big admirer of his compatriot. ''.

Meeting with Emery 'arranged'

Mmmm sounds good!

Blue247

1.) 23 May 2016 12:08:20
Looking at his stats 5th, 5th and 7th (this season) looks on a par with Moyes. Think I would rather Pellegrini to be honest.

2.) 23 May 2016 12:36:08
dont forget Bill he has had 2 huge cup runs mate where he won the Europa for a 3rd consecutive time and got beat in CDR by Barcelona, these 3 years of great cup runs/ wins would damage league positions with a club like Sevilla as hardly as if they have a huge squad, if you look at it that way then no brainer for me mate, oh yeh he battered the Koppites too which is a bonus but even without that he looks a great prospect, if it happens I hope he ravages that Sevilla side as some cracking players there.

3.) 23 May 2016 14:17:13
Bill, why on earth do you want Pellegrini?

4.) 23 May 2016 17:30:48
Emery didn't just batter the Koppites, he made them cry!
That'll do for me!

5.) 23 May 2016 20:07:36
No-one made the kopites cry more than pardew but we wouldn't want him.

Does anyone agree with my suspicions that since Farhad Moshiri (who I have the utmost respect btw ) arrived along with his financial 'leg up' the transfer pecking order, we as a premier league club seem to be to some players out there a footballers 'Gravy Train?

Blue247

1.) 18 Feb 2021 14:59:32
No.
We’ve got some players who are hit and miss but wouldn’t say any of them on the gravy train.
Who did you have in mind?

2.) 18 Feb 2021 15:26:29
Or one final big pay day. Yes.

3.) 18 Feb 2021 15:32:23
Most of them tbh and I'm not talking about one or 2 matches this has been the case for a while, players who are ''hit and miss'' is the problem actually,
those that don't put in a shift regularly enough well I want to know why? it is 'hit and miss' at this level on these wages that does not cut it for me as a matter of fact.

4.) 18 Feb 2021 15:39:14
That right Brass, kind of what I mean mate.

5.) 18 Feb 2021 20:32:45
There probably is some that were here for the payout and I feel we have paid over the odds on some players, which means currently we have some players who could be viewed as being on inflated contracts and that is what Brands was brought in for to clear the decks and build the long term plan for a more sustainable club as we can’t compete with the draw the big boys offer for those established stars, who are lured with European football which meant we had to let the money do the talking
These next few years is where I feel we will start to see improvements, more Godfrey’s and Digne’s with hunger and desire, will still be a few who don’t make the grade.

6.) 18 Feb 2021 23:34:44
Blue 247,
Would be like us going from being a porter to chairman of the board. Were not good enough to do the job, but if someone is going to offer us silly money to do it for three years then we will take it. That's all half of these buggers are doing mate.

7.) 19 Feb 2021 01:11:09
Whenever a particular club comes into money, it's inevitable that the mercenaries rear their heads. I think it's magnified more these days when they have agents doing all the dog work for them too. Not too sure if we really have any at the club, there's certainly a few that aren't good enough and need shipping out. Let's just hope we don't replace them with mercenaries!

Big Reg, this is a great opportunity for you to point your LFC mate in the direction of the 'Echo' and other platforms, to read up on so called Reds 'fans' and their opinions on 'FSG' i. e. ''yanks out'' Klopp's decision making etc.

Be proud to be an Evertonian and don't take anymore wind ups from spoilt and fickle hypocrites. 🙄.

Blue247

1.) 25 Jan 2021 19:34:24
I said the same under his post bud 1st home loss in 60 games and they wanted klopp out nothing we ever say or do will come close to how poor some of their fans are.

15 Jan 2021 15:50:28
Seeing as we have some time on our hands . . .

A little reminder of just who you / we are,

"I remember phoning him the night before his arrival at Goodison - for Duncan's final game. I said, 'Carlo, I promise you, I don't care where you've been, nothing will prepare you for the love and adoration and support these Evertonians will give you'.

"He came into the boardroom and said, 'Bill, you were right, they were waiting for me, they were at the gates, shaking my hand'. After the game, his son, Davide came in and said, 'We have never seen anything like it, it is quite extraordinary''.

Bill Kenwright .

Being a Blue means having distinctiveness amongst our peers that clearly dazzles the unsuspecting recipients of our adoration.

Blue247

1.) 17 Jan 2021 00:33:42
I so want to believe all the above Blue, I want it all to be true, every word and not just more subterfuge to cover the fact that my now adult Children have never seen us lift a trophy and have been to one Cup Final which we lost. To dream and be deceived!

2.) 17 Jan 2021 05:18:09
I suppose we all have those thoughts Blu, all I can think of to say is, when that 'spark of glory' strikes for real it comes as a massive surprise and literally from unpromising beginnings mate.
Our well documented 80's revival a case in point.

Good morning fellow Blues and what a lovely morning it is, I don't know why but it almost feels like springtime instead of autumn I might even pop next door and spread this good feeling with our red neighbours, you know this feeling of joie de vivre Ah yes I bet they would welcome me with open arms 🤣.

Blue247

{Ed025's Note - love it 247..

1.) 05 Oct 2020 08:32:58
been getting grief every monday from son in law since restart. Very quiet this morning. May have to pop round later make sure he is okay.

{Ed025's Note - send him a get well card BCT.. :)

30 Nov 2019 08:50:17
@BCT, The only way we don't get relegated with 'Marco' is because we 'may' 'could' 'possibly' 'By Chance Only' be ending up the 4th worst team in the PL .

If that was possible to predict then yes I 'might' risk it and agree with you!

Blue247

1.) 30 Nov 2019 16:52:36
4th from bottom now. You have to wonder what it is going to take. It is possible we get nothing from next 5 games. That leaves a new Manager with a heck of a job. Bring him in now and yes it is a baptism of fire but also allows him to assess where the weaknesses are prior to January Window.

2.) 30 Nov 2019 17:10:14
Couldn't agree more BCT.

3.) 30 Nov 2019 18:21:49
Seems to be coming a bit of a routine this now.

It's not that simple, you need to learn about our illustrious history and recount it off by heart, wear nothing but 'Blue' clothing for a year solid, weep royal blue tears when we lose (this will eventually come naturally) and then and only then will we teach you the secret handshake!

Still up for it? 🤔 😉.

The door will give his a**e a whack for leaving like this, and rightly so, he said way too much BS too recently to boot.
Personally I think he has put question marks on his cv re integrity which were not there before.
The talk about his not being able to feel the warm affection of Evertonians because of the C.V. restrictions and so on and also the unprecedented conditions in stadiums being a big handicap, may or not be a factor in him leaving, though the fact is he made sure he left didn't he as neither the fans or the board did !?

The fans not being in stadiums must have had an immeasurable effect on adrenalin and totally unprecedented in pro footy on this scale, some teams have coped better than others as we have seen and some managers too have somehow found better ways to compensate etc.
Just as a footnote maybe 'Big Sam' has finally met his nemesis in terms of he has to remove the 'I've never been relegated' from his cv and we all feel his pain right? there is always a reason to smile if you just take the time to look for it 🤣.

I remember your comment Ed and even though I knew it wasn't BS, I just hoped against hope the lessons would have been learnt, and what happened in Bavaria stayed in Bavaria.
