Really hope these rumours about signing Ramsey are just that. Talk of him wanting 200k+? If this were to happen then it shows we have learned nothing.

Gascoigne! Ginola! Eto!
We will never learn.
Ramsey is perfect for us!
Old
Injury prone
Expensive
Come on join the blue gravy train!

2.) 12 Dec 2021 23:41:50
I'm Old
Injury prone
But inexpensive
Therefore a better option than Ramsey!

3.) 13 Dec 2021 13:57:47
It isn't us that needs to learn, for me it is the business man with deep pockets. If he is going to pay shed loads out, how about on an advisor that knows football inside out! Throw some dosh at Hoddle gor a couple of hours a week - management didn't suit but football and players knowledge who better.

4.) 13 Dec 2021 14:48:18
We had a good DOF and he completely ignored him. So Hoddle would stand no chance.

So if rumours are to be believed then Rafas first signing could be Ramsey, another thirty year old. Apparently they could get him for free but would probably have to pay high wages.
Bit strange this as it's the wage bill we need to get down, and would expect the player would want at least a two year contract.
Hope this is just paper talk, otherwise we have learned nothing.

Only thing worse would be Mourinho managing Ramsey in Goodison. If it happens we sould be relegated directly to league two.

2.) 06 Dec 2021 19:41:06
Hi Eds, anything about Digne and Rafa having a bust up?

{Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry.}

3.) 06 Dec 2021 23:26:43
I think all this Ramsey and Hazard talk is just either trash paper talk or someone at Everton trying to focus attention elsewhere

Mind you Moshiri hasn't learnt anything in over 5 years so you never know.

4.) 07 Dec 2021 07:19:21
I am getting the feeling that players will now not come in unless Raga wants them.

5.) 07 Dec 2021 07:37:56
Ramsey was going to none league Wrexham in last weeks papers.

Who knows maybe Kenny will be a better left back than a right back ?.

1.) 12 Feb 2022 15:52:35
Doing ok at the min.

If we play both Allan and Gomes against Leeds we will get hammered. They play all out pace, and we have two of the slowest midfielders in the league. Surely got to give Patterson a go now, as we will need his energy. Seamus must be knackered after chasing St Max shadow all night.
After sixty years of following this great club I am more nervous now about relegation than I have ever been. Seriously I just can't see with the injuries we are getting, as to how we get out of this.

1.) 09 Feb 2022 11:04:01
It’s very worrying but you surely were more worried last day of the 93/ 94 season? .

2.) 09 Feb 2022 11:31:33
It’s not even about how quick the midfielders are, it’s the fact Gomes doesn’t chase anyone. Not saying VDB will be our version of Kante or whatever. But even just his calmness in possession will take some of the pressure off of us. I wish we had Doucoure, he’s so good. I’d play Allan, VDB and Gbamin if he’s anything near fit. If not, Onyango maybe? Gomes can’t start. Tom Davies walks into this team by the way.

3.) 09 Feb 2022 11:36:03
No Gibbo and do you know why?
Because that team weren’t as good as this one, but they fought for everything. My worry with this team is concede a goal and everyone’s head drops. There are no leaders on the pitch, they all look lost.
Frank has got a massive job on here to get these players to compete at a better level.
We might as well play all out attack football because we certainly can’t rely on the defence, run at them and they cave in.
Even as I write this I am getting text messages from geordie lads I used to work with. Saying once they scored they knew they would win. It’s doing my head in.

4.) 09 Feb 2022 17:42:13
He doesn’t bother chasing them because he’s to slow.

03 Feb 2022 14:17:37
So Tosun wants 800k to leave now. I would pay it before he gets injured. Still a saving in the long run.
Hats off to big Sam for that one.

Had a cheeky pint in the local yesterday while I was waiting for the missus to finish work. Before you start I'm retired and she's a teacher in the village school. ?
Anyway our village pub was full of Derby supporters, all wearing the club shirts young and old (very old some) . They have decided to get behind their club regardless of what happens. Their not moaning about it, they just want it sorted one way or the other.
They all know I am a blue so I get the usual mickey take when I go in there. But to a man they all say they would give anything to be in the so called mess we are in.
They felt Lampard did a great job for them, and they firmly believe he will do a great job for us.
So come on blue boys it's not that bad. Look at Derby, it could be a lot worse.

1.) 29 Jan 2022 12:55:06
Its a mess of our own making, a mess according to FFP, different mess than Derby.

2.) 29 Jan 2022 16:16:39
Wouldn't be if Moshiri walked away?

3.) 29 Jan 2022 19:11:32
Well said Bob. And yep Brass if and when we force moshiri out we really will be in the sh*t!

18 Jan 2022 09:53:38
We've had Sam the slow, Carlo the c**t, and Rafa the Red. So would only be right to give to Rooney the looney.

Think if the ground was finished it might have been a goer but FM got to much invested in it right now to sell up I would have thought.
Still saying that he does own most of the shares, so that would be appealing to any buyers.

Allan’s biggest problem is his age. Prem is the hardest league to play in and it takes it out of you.

We’ve had so called “top managers” and that didn’t work. Time for a new approach. Give Frank ago.

Boblatchblue

{Ed025's Note - yeah why not latch?, and let him bring his own staff in because if its true that dunc is not interested then whats the point of him being there?, we need guys with ambition mate..

You know the new manager has started with a clean slate for all the players. Would be nice if the fans now did the same.

{Ed025's Note - your dead right latch..

Hope we don’t sit back dfs that’s when are problems started with Benitez.
Would rather watch them press and have a go and lose, than sit back and lose.

Iwobi’s biggest problem is that his brain and legs are not working in tandem. It always appears as though his feet have already decided what they are going to do, while his brain is still thinking about it. If he ever gets the two working together then we could have one hell of a player.

BM I think if you ask Preston supporters they will tell you he was their best player by a mile. Manager was reluctant to play him because at the time Preston were struggling, and he didn’t feel Gordon was strong enough and wanted grafters in the team. Which is ironic when you see just how hard the lad works now. But who knows maybe that was the little nudge the lad needed.

Remember Lukaku having a very poor first touch when he was with us, but that hasn’t held him back. DCL just needs to work on it in training, but at his age we definitely need to keep him.
