Silva looks to me like he's lost the confidence of the players. On paper our strongest 11 is a match for any team in the premier at the moment but every team we play seem to just want it more!

I've always said give him time but I can't see any belief in the players or manager that things are changing, I think time for a change with a manager that brands wants hopefully someone with the passion that this club needs on the touch line and brave enough to make the big decisions in a game rather than going through the same tactics and same lack lustre performances week in week out.

Brands needs to go too can't come out of this unscathed as these are his signings. Silva is poor but working with terrible players that cost a fortune to assemble which is brands faultso they should both be removed.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 21:05:40
Do we just buy players by trawling statistics? As we seem to buy too many square pegs for round holes.

3.) 06 Oct 2019 21:44:07
To be fair I think we are currently going through the pain of poor player recruitment from other regimes which I feel hampered out activity on player recruitment.
Having said that I think we dilly rallied too long on the Zouma hope and that cost us plus we didn’t get a striker who would deliver now, or perhaps we did but just don’t play to their strengths 🤷🏻‍♂️
Talking of which, this zonal marking keeps coming out as part of our woes, maybe our personnel aren’t capable of that And other teams work out how to exploit the gaps we leave 🤦🏻‍♂️.

4.) 07 Oct 2019 14:48:22
The defence was fine end of last season with same defensive tactics. Injuries to midfield and missing Zouma imho. Fixable although does seem awful at the moment. The majority where all overjoyed with summer recruitment so can't all now going it was rubbish just because we had a bad spell. Keep together cheer our hearts out bring back ty here confidence and we will come back stronger. In minority I know but don't get rid of silva. If we did that after a few bad matches we would turn into Watford.

5.) 07 Oct 2019 21:14:31
I’m not saying the summer recruitment was rubbish I like Iwobi Delph Kean and Gbamin there’s just something not right with the way we are playing end of last season the team seemed up for it, and Gueye was bossing the middle of the park! Clearly miss his energy.
We could turn the corner again but then again we may have done that too many times already.

Anyone know how many extra season tickets will go on sale at bmd? My lads both been on waiting list for 5 treats now up to about 7000 in the queue it said so was hoping they will be enough for them to get seats with me next season think I've sat in my own seat 3 times last couple of seasons with getting tickets for them and there too big now for sittin on my knee.

Fjefc13

1.) 08 Oct 2024 22:58:59
From what I've been told don't expect many more season tickets go on sale as think they looking do more match by match tickets.

2.) 09 Oct 2024 09:30:09
Unfortunately that's football now. Clubs don't want to many local supporters taking up all the seats.
A local supporter has a few pints in his local before the game, goes the game (might buy a programme) and if like me drown their sorrows in their local on the way home. Though the vast majority of season ticket holders go the game then go home.
Clubs want travelling support were fans will spend the day at the stadium eating, drinking and spending money in the club shop.

3.) 09 Oct 2024 12:26:11
I understand we have to make money and hospitality allows that but I hope we don’t end up like them lot down the road

I picked my brother in law up from one of their matches a few weeks ago and it was a lovely warm day so I sat in the car where they closes the road with the windows open and I kid you not every single accent that walked past wasn’t Scouse they were all posh southern types, that’s what I don’t want to happen to our club it loses its soul.

And I’m not hating but if you’re in the uk support your own local team I don’t get why people travel miles away to watch them, fair enough if you’re from abroad or Ireland wales etc but if you’re from England I don’t get why you’d travel to Liverpool and pay hundred to watch a game. Maybe I’m a stick in the mud.

4.) 09 Oct 2024 13:11:34
Tranmere from a personal point of view as someone born in Merseyside and then moved away its not easy changing to a local team rather travel to be honest we did give up our season tickets when we moved though so hopefully they didn't go to waste.

5.) 09 Oct 2024 17:22:39
I moved from Ormskirk to fleetwood the cod army are ok but play in red and Everton is in the blood. loads support everton in this little town aswell.

6.) 09 Oct 2024 20:21:30
I come from Fleetwood and support Everton RON MAC haha.

{Ed025's Note - it sounds a bit fishy to me.. :)

7.) 09 Oct 2024 22:19:05
Your DAD int Grez is it Jam2711.

8.) 10 Oct 2024 00:20:01
Like I said I don’t mean to come across as a stick in the mud or tribalist of course there’s going to be people not from Merseyside but there’s nothing better than being around a load of scousers when Goodison is rocking, anfield on match day is like a morgue and I don’t want Bramley Moore to be that way although i doubt the owners care about atmosphere it’s all about money isn’t it.

9.) 10 Oct 2024 00:27:28
I used to live in Bispham and there were loads of Evertonians in and around the area.

10.) 10 Oct 2024 05:39:51
Hahaha yes Ron that’s my old man mate ? small world eh.

11.) 10 Oct 2024 13:17:51
The atmosphere of BMD I’m sure will be similar to Goodison. Give us good football and effort and the crowd will deliver on support.

If you really want it rocking my suggestion is to make sure our dinosaur of a coach is no where near our club.

I don’t care what the voices sound like. And I don’t care if all the new seats are filled with people outside of the area. Any supporter from anywhere in the world deserves a seat if they make that much of an effort to get one. Just bring your voice and contribute in any way you can.

12.) 10 Oct 2024 20:55:53
I completely get what you are saying Tranmere. I always found it strange that people don’t support their local team. Glory hunters are the worst - pick a team because they did well and stop when they don’t do so well. Look at City as an example. They have a die hard core of supporters that supported them 30 years ago through relegation and promotions but now it’s just silly as they have rocketed to one of the best teams in the world due to their takeover by a billionaire at the right time. Outspend everyone and buy the success.

The exception I have is if it’s a family thing. If your family are from the area and you have been brought up supporting that team, I’ve no problem with it.

Note, I’d happily buy success for our club as long as they prioritise local season tickets first.

13.) 11 Oct 2024 08:49:20
Both my boys now live and work in Sheffield. They are both die hard blues but also believe you should support a local team. To that end they both have Sheffield Wednesday as their second team (can’t follow Utd for obvious reasons) and regularly go to matches. Got to say I’ve been to a couple. The atmosphere is great and the football is entertaining. Do you know they are actually allowed to make tackles.

14.) 11 Oct 2024 22:11:14
That’s me blacklisted then!
I copied my mate when I was 7 yrs old who supported Everton - I’ve followed them ever since and I’m from and live in Kent! ?‍♂️.

15.) 12 Oct 2024 13:32:11
I'm guilty too. Followed Alan Ball from Blackpool to Everton as he was my favourite player. Such a shame we should revert to tribalism in football. Will I be classed as a migrant if I come to watch Everton in future? In all the towns I have lived, I have made efforts to watch the local team when possible. Perhaps I shouldn't as the locals might consider me alien. I thought football was for everyone and we were the peoples club. I did read once that only 60% of fans come from the area. If that's the case how will you fill BMD each week if only 20+ locals turn up. Thank god i'm not black, LBGTQ, disabled, or from Mars.

16.) 12 Oct 2024 14:05:26
But if you were a Swifty, we’d have a problem Nick…

My issue is with those who just choose a side for the sake of winning. I have a mate who has a season ticket at Utd but lives in Europe. Goes to games occasionally. Crazy.

Found a way to fit young in again
With Harrison in front of him that right hand side scares the life out of me.

I'm
Struggling to find where or who in our squad is going to take the game on Sunday as we don't have anyone who can control a ball never mind a match!
I'm honestly dreading it and if/ when we loose I think that's it and we won't be coming back up for a long time either
P##s poor all down to our owner and board they have basically sucked the life out of our once great club
My poor 6 and 8 year old boys having to be put through this shower week in week out it's them I feel sorry for more.

Fjefc13

{Ed025's Note - i was fortunate to see some of the great Everton sides Fj, i feel really sorry for the younger generations that have only seen the decline of this once great club mate..

1.) 17 Apr 2024 20:32:25
I was only a baby in the 80s so my last decent memory was 95 the 2 lads I’ve got have got a long wait I tell you poor gets.

{Ed025's Note - you missed the boat Fj, im lucky enough to have seen the great sides mate, which makes it even harder when i see this bunch of crabs mate..

2.) 18 Apr 2024 03:43:50
I can reliably go back as far as Latchford, Lyons and King. I remember Gordon Lee looking like an undertaker to me as a kid.
Oh those mid 80's were something special. Imagine having that midfield now.

3.) 18 Apr 2024 07:51:42
I remember the 70s teams, big bob hitting 30 league goals in 1 season, we beat Chelsea 6-0 last game of the season, we beat Leicester 5-1 away from home, very exciting team, Dave Thomas on the wing supplying the ammo for big Bob. Unfortunately we just couldn't hit the top, Liverpool were too good!
