My daughter was with another person today. Said person spotted their pal. who plays for blues currently. and got chatting to player, and this player stated he didn't think Rafa would be manager. Not a wind up. just passing the info.

1.) 29 Jun 2021 18:37:00
Hes just agreed terms according to talksport.

2.) 29 Jun 2021 19:17:20
Would seem so. clearly player in question didn't know or was a reuse.

3.) 29 Jun 2021 21:17:59
Possibly Iwobi, sometimes doesn't even knows he's on the pitch.

Eds, any premier league teams looking at jack grealish? I for one think (despite any off the field antics) that he would be a msaive improvement to evertons midfield. as a player i think he is just what we need.

Jcl1878

{Ed002's Note - Grealish won't be moving to Everton.}

1.) 10 Jul 2020 16:20:48
Cheers ed. Shame just kind of player could do with in my opinion.

2.) 10 Jul 2020 17:50:38
My nan would be a massive improvement on evertons midfield mate at the minute mate.

3.) 10 Jul 2020 18:19:36
We probably couldn't afford her mate, but if she is free for next home game i'm sure carlo would appreciate the help.

4.) 10 Jul 2020 20:06:22
First and foremost our midfield needs a ball winner someone with legs, Gomez was miles better with If
Idrissa playing alongside him that is a fact.
Grealish is good but without ball winners he would be a pointless signing.

{Ed002's Note - Legs are better than leg.

Grealish is not moving to Everton.}

Eds is there any truth in the rumour that Everton have agreed fee and terms with Gabriel Magalhaes? Or is this just rubbish from twitter et al? Cheers and stay safe.

Jcl1878

{Ed002's Note - This was mentioned some months ago and I explained then it was rather premature. My notes say:

Gabriel Magalhaes (CB) Lille didn't want to sell in January although Arsenal pushed - the player has signed a new contract, but Arsenal could look to him in again the summer if they do not sign Mari - else they are overrun with CBs. Lazio have made their interest known as the seek a replacement for Luiz Felipe (CB) but he is not their first choice - although their first choice may well be heading elsewhere. Napoli know that they may lose Kalidou Koulibaly (CB) in the summer and have an interest in the player. Southampton and Everton have both sent scouts to watch the player with Everton notifying Lille that they are very interested in taking the player in the summer – but there has been no “done deal” as many of the Everton fans think. Chelsea and Spurs have both looked and Chelsea fans have, like the Everton fans, convinced themselves a deal has already been done and that has led to abuse on the Chelsea site. In reality, he is not top of the list of replacements if one of the existing CBs leave (which is actually possible) although Chelsea have accepted that their two preferred choices are very probably not achievable - so they may push. Spurs have a bigger problem in that they have an aging defensive squad supplemented by players who are only perhaps borderline good enough. Spurs have other options they are looking at but could prioritise Magalhaes. Prior interest of PSG was thought to have gone but with their financial issues limiting their ability to spend without sales - but it may just be back.

As far as I know, this remains the case.}

1.) 17 Apr 2020 20:39:02
cheers ed002 for the clarification, as with all transfer speculation there will always be fans hopeful that the deal is done prior to any official announcement.

{Ed002's Note - Well, Everton are keen so it could happen.}

2.) 17 Apr 2020 20:40:33
Brilliant ed, i did read the previous posts on this player, but then got some text's from various acquaintances saying it was done. I knew you guys would have a better understanding. Cheers for info.

Eds, I have a question about onyekuru (spelling) the lads loan spell in Belgium started well last year, same this year in Turkey. Is it his work permit only that is preventing him for playing for Everton?

Jcl1878

{Ed002's Note - Yes. However Valencia has a plan for Onyekuru as well.}

1.) 27 Jul 2018 15:12:49
Thanks, I read about Valencia. not seen onyekuru play (other than highlights) and would be a shame if Everton can't keep hold of a talent like that, especially when (on face of it) don't seem to be inspiring our other protege. lookman.

{Ed002's Note - Everton still have a Work Permit issue; Valencia would offer him the best career move, Everton money and regular football at a high-level; Gala has a contract and we don't know the terms.}

2.) 27 Jul 2018 15:26:06
Much appreciated!

3.) 27 Jul 2018 18:47:23
Still don't fully get this. He plays legally in Belgium. It seems now he can play also in Spain. Both like GB are in the EU. Do F. A rules overide EU employment law, or is it just that the British Goverment set the crirteria differently to continental Europe?

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with the EU. All countries follow their local laws when dealing with Foreign workers. The rules vary considerably, as they do for clubs in respect of the number of foreign players, home grown, association trained players there are etc.. He is not eligible for a Work Permit in the UK because he does not meet the criteria.}

4.) 27 Jul 2018 22:09:08
The criteria is woefully thought out in my opinion, Onyekuru would be coming to England as an employee of a large business, he would earning a sizeable salary that would be liable for income tax, so therefore would be making a decent contribution to the country, along with being a decent potential role model for children.

29 Jul 2017 17:19:04
Eds, is giroud the man striking target still? Have Everton made official enquiries yet, or is it all still paper talk?

Jcl1878

{Ed002's Note - An enquiry has been made in to the availability of Max Kruse of Wefer Bremen.}

1.) 29 Jul 2017 18:04:30
Thanks ed. heard lots about kruz but not seen him. is he someone you think is decent?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know really. He needs to get out of Germany and work hard - decent - probably.}

2.) 29 Jul 2017 18:15:30
Kruse is a decent striker would be a good signing think giroud won't sign for us though and maybe not a bad thing as if we sign gilfi and have Rooney in same team we going to lack pace up front with only Sandro with pace ed do you know if we still have an interest in duvan Zapata from Napoli as I think he would fit Ronnie style of striker big powerful good in the air and plenty of pace plus if he can score goals in Italy then I am sure he can score in premier league.

Is everyone having problems with receiving their season ticket? I opted for an e ticket which should have been emailed Monday. Everton twitter then stated Tuesday and yesterday i went box office and they told me today but still nothing. Anyone know why the delay?

Jcl1878

1.) 11 Aug 2021 20:16:14
I picked the card mate and it got delivered last week. Surely the e ticket should be easy for them to sort. Fingers crossed.

2.) 11 Aug 2021 21:53:46
Just had our emails through in last 30mins Jcl, download to Wallet so hopefully all good for Sat 👍.

3.) 11 Aug 2021 22:35:24
Thx blu. just received mine. Appreciate it.

23 Aug 2020 11:24:18
Conundrum. if richarlison is only going to stay another yr. and everton need to sell to buy, do we sell him now to raise transfer funds or keep him and buy no-one or very little this yr? He is a talent for sure but no a player that can single handedly drag us fwd.

Jcl1878

1.) 23 Aug 2020 13:34:52
I feel it’s more about moving multiple players on from the wage bill over selling one player for a large sum that would be low this summer due to C.V. implications
Our recurring weekly revenue is crippling us and adding to our losses
Whilst a large transfer fee would be a bonus it wouldn’t address the wage issues to players not playing
Well that’s how I see it.

2.) 23 Aug 2020 13:53:28
Great shout. just an interesting allbeit sad dilema. struggling to see how club finds a way out of this that satisfies their needs and the fans wants.

3.) 23 Aug 2020 13:58:01
Also got to remember he is not one of the top earners at the club.

4.) 23 Aug 2020 14:03:46
i think the biggest issue is Sandro's Bolasie's Sig's Walcotts wages that's close too over over 400k a week i think if we can offload two of them it will help massively we have already let Niasse and Cuco go i think that's around 120k a week saved 60k apiece they were on our club really has been badly run for the last few years and fans now need to be patient and let brands try to fix the problem.

5.) 23 Aug 2020 14:11:25
Corona has limited everyone's spending power so selling next year will yield more transfer funds.

6.) 23 Aug 2020 14:15:26
Think the picture that is slowly dawning is that we need to sell but a combo of woefully under performing players and a world wide crisis that's likely to run into another season of zero gate receipts and TV deals being reduced or partly refunded. No ones got any money. But in theory if someone does find the 150 mil down the back of the sofa, I'd sell him in a second. So long as we have a couple of weeks to spend it. Who knows what the land looks like in 12 months. Would prefer few new faces and build a team around the lad but beggers can't be choosers.

7.) 23 Aug 2020 20:01:12
Exactly. Sell Richy and Pickford next season and we will have the best part of £150 million to help with p/ l and spend wisely on building a team rather than just buying random players.

08 Jul 2020 21:53:05
Eds, do any of you know what's happening regards season tickets? I renewed at the beginning of the year but I don't see fans returning to stadia this side of christmas. With that in mind, what are clubs generally planning? Obviously there's refunds, but are clubs and the tv corporations considering other options, e. g. giving season ticket holders viewing access to all teams games home and away. Are there any alternative arrangements other than season ticket refunds?
Cheers.

Jcl1878

{Ed002's Note - You are right JCL - nobody knows. Some clubs are renewing which gives them cash and they will figure it out going forward through concessions, extensions by number of games etc..}

1.) 09 Jul 2020 05:57:28
Cheers ed.

Lots of negative comments about moise kean on here. stating he doesn't work hard, he's not good enough. saying italian league is slow. etc. This is a 19 yr old kid, living in a strange city, playing (until 2 games ago) for a Sh! t team, who doesn't speak english, played on left wing, right wing and cf positions. can any of the people who have been in a similar experience (even just half of this) say they soared. This kid needs a chance, he needs looking after. just like marcel said he would.

Jcl1878

1.) 16 Dec 2019 22:46:48
Good point JCL, lad needs time and the correct management for sure. However it’s not like this is 19yr old, fighting in the army in Basra with a wife and child at home on there own and picking up weekly what the other won’t pick up in a year is it either! Hard one as these superstars seem to be from a different plant to the rest of us!

2.) 17 Dec 2019 09:00:14
Blu 1, that there hits the spot mate, a really good point .

3.) 17 Dec 2019 18:39:19
Blu, correct on all fronts. yes i agree there's a much harder way to earn a living. both these examples represent equal and opposite extremes. and most of us aren't exposed to either. but the point is that when your young and in an alien situation and surroundings its support you need. Our armed forces aside (brave men and women) in the context of football, he's a kid and a little patience wouldn't go a miss.

01 Sep 2018 17:07:54
Digne played well apart from two poor set pieces. Zouma is quick strong and seems to read game really well, schneids and sigurdson played decent again but we lacked that grunt in midfield, and they enforced their tactics well. Think generally we missed Ricky and some of our passing was poor today. Again tosun is strong and committed to the cause and I feel if he could just get a goal it would light him up for the season. like him alot. Tom Davies was not with it today, I like the lad but that rawness and eagerness to go fwd seems to be missing. think we need to have patience with the lad. Lookman. well there is definitely a player there but today he looked like he was caught in the headlights. they are a big rough side and he looked a little overwhelmed to me, but with Walcott taking a knock maybe he'll get the nod next game. Strange substitutions today BUT I'll get over that.2 points dropped imo, but still optimistic for the season.

Jcl1878

1.) 01 Sep 2018 18:39:22
We missed a manager with brains and a team with balls, other than that yes we done ok, the championship must be crapping it facing us next year, can't wait to read all the excuses tomorrow, keep me going for 3 hours on a sunday 😂😂😂.

2.) 01 Sep 2018 18:49:02
Are you serious away and give your head a shake we are a team in transition after 3 poor managers it's a slow and steady process but I think u might be a red casting a line.

3.) 01 Sep 2018 18:54:59
They weren't at the races today but Huddersfield played 5 at back and played to spoil. but it was still better than the rubbish being served last season. so far a better brand of footy than the whole of last season. also they beat man u and drew with man city last season. on those games would pep and Jose be accused of being devoid of brains. its one game. with predominantly same players since Xmas and 2 making their full premier league debuts. think about that. or not. championship. get a grip.

4.) 01 Sep 2018 20:04:38
Blimey 4 games played and someone says we we are going down already. I am more than pleased with where we are and what we have done so far. We have not lost, shown resilience to come from behind, and still settling players in. So much for the calls of "lets get behind the manager and team this season" 4 down 34 to go. A lot can happen.

Im probably wrong here but the Leicester side that JUST avoided relegation were more or less the same aide that won the premiere league (regardless of whether top 6 under performed) . Coleman may be aging but he ain't championship worthy only. Godfrey, mina, richarlison, dcl, allan, doucoure, digne, Pickford. Add to that gray and andros and a new manager who won't take any crap, I personally don't think that this is bad as is being made out. A ball hasn't been kicked in anger yet. the club aren't rolling over, its a xhange of tact (enforced ) but they are adapting accordingly.

On that note ed, that being the case and the number of players who teeter between u23s and Main squad, e. g. benni baningame, why have Everton not loaned out the likes of baningame. to see if he can make that transition given regular game time. 2yrs ago kevin sheedy told me that of all the youngsters then baningame was most talented. more than dowell, more than davis yet his career has just stalled.

Jcl1878

{Ed002's Note - Many clubs, including Everton has no viable structure that allows loans to be planned, to happen and to be managed. Maybe Brands will have the opportunity to work this going forward - I hope so.}

Tom davies not even championship, neither is iwobi, nor rondon. i've thought that about iwobi n davies for 2 yrs, not just today. At half time i told chap in front of me that godfrey looks too hesitant in that position and should be playing lb or rb or cm. not cb. Always been a fan of rafa but got it wrong today. firstly by allowing davies and iwobi anywhere near the side.

If they keep hold of grealish they will be tearing it up. it all flows through him with his free role. but without him, could be tough. I don't under estimate what he's sone in that side. Inga and watkins good players, bailey i know little of but losing grealish is like losing the spine of their starting 11.

The big issue is letting grealish go BUT if they replace him with cantwell that's a GREAT signing. they can build a team around that lad and tbh he's still a long way from reaching his peak. Cantwell will become a top top player in the mould of grealish. not many of that type around. timed it perfect.
