Hi all. So I don't post very often but I just wanted to hear some opinions. I am sure it is obvious to everyone here that at present we have no clue where the goal is! In this case why aren't we playing Tosun? I'm not saying he is the best in the world but last time he came on he set up a goal and every international break he scores. I wouldn't care if he played rubbish and scored as the rest don't seem to be able to. We might as well play him and Kean up front and drop Gylfi as in my opinion he is providing very little at present. What does everyone think?

Mattormy as far as Silva is concerned may as well bang head against wall. Some saying Tosun is no good but on what evidence, everything I have seen, he deserves more game time than DCL or at the least play him in a two.

Yep give Tosun a go, why not he's not starstruck he's used to the spotlight and the guy must be chompin at the bit by now, DCL isn't what we atm anyway imo!

So if the formation doesn’t fit the players, change the formation to suit the players available. We need a plan B most of the time. Leicester played to their strengths and won the league.

We have tried a lot of strikers to fit our system simce lukaku left maybe its the system that needs to change to fit the players we currently have.

if your going to change a system to suit a player, its not going to be changed to suit tosun, tosun isn't marco silva's man and i think it would have been made obvious by now he doesn't fancy him at all (tried to sell him every window he's had) if he's going to change the system (which he should change to a 433) it should be to accomodate richarlsion and kean interchanging in a front free, not as an all out winger in richarlisons case, but as one of 3 forwards.

A few have said in older previous posts that Tosun is too slow in the premier league, yet our slow build up play at the moment is ideal for Tosun to get into the box and wait for the lay off.
How many times have we worked it out wide, Digni or Bernard then playing a ball in the danger area with no end result.
I just cannot understand all the games Lewin has played, yet Tosun gets the odd sniff now and again, more times than often, he will bring Walcott off the bench, rather than Tosun.
At the moment we are struggling for goals, we cannot sign anyone until January, so why not give Tosun a run of games, baffles me at times Silva.

Hi all, just a question really. I have been speaking with a number of Evertonians over the past couple of days who have said they would love it if we signed Gomes which we have and Zouma and hopefully a forward. How much does everyone think this will improve our team? I understand goals are going to improve the league position but we had both the players above last year and still finished mid table so buying those two won't generally improve our position, I actually think we will need at least 2 or 3 more. What does everyone think?

The main thing for me is that we clicked in the final third of the season. Had we have clicked earlier there is no doubt we would have finished higher. The players have proved that they now understand Silvas system and can get results from it. Keeping Gomez and possibly Zouma is critical to continuing the progress. Add a striker and we will improve. Add an effective winger on the right or a left footed one for the left and I believe we have lift off.

It would be amazing to get Zouma and a good striker in. if we could bring in another CB, a RB and a replacement for Gana should he leave, i think that would be perfect window but I would settle for Zouma and a striker!

Heard a few people saying it's not gunna improve much on last season having gomes and zouma but I have to disagree, this is going to be gomes with a year of Premier league football behind him and a proper preseason, also it would be Keane and zoumas 2nd season as a pair so better understanding between them, we saw later on in the season what wer capable of with them 2 in the team, ad 1 or 2 others and wer flying this year in my opinion.

Keeping the momentum from last season is the main thing for me and that means securing the signings of Gomes (which has been done) and Zouma. To improve, we must add a little bit more quality up front and out wide right, but more importantly, added some strength/ quality in depth. A few injuries or players out of form, and it can all go south.

So I have watched all of our games this season and we are obviously missing a forward but we have bought 4 players who are in the first team Rooney, Siggurson (sorry about the spelling) , Klassen and Sandro. what is everyone's opinion? in my opinion Rooney and Siggurson should be doing a lot better. There is no excuse they have both played in the premier league for years and have basically done nothing since they joined us. Klassen and Sandro have done very little, didn't Klassen score lots of goals last year? Has he even had a shot for us? It looks to me firstly that we are just not fit enough, we are always a second off the pace. Also we have no creativity in midfield. We are playing with 2 defensive midfielders and there is a massive gap from them to the 3 to 4 number 10's we are playing. I think we need to either drop a defensive midfielder or move one further up the field. Does anyone think we should be playing wingers? When we go forward we seem to be so narrow with all forwards in the middle and no balls coming from out wide. Lastly I like our goalie but I think he needs to learn when he can play a cute pass and when he needs to hoof it!

It could be a case of koeman playing the wrong formation and tactics why the players aren't gelling a little better.

Give the Everton management team at least a bit of time to figure things out! Yes we can all see we need some players but I don't want to see us spending massively over the odds to get them when we need to build the team again. The team need to learn to gel under Normal first and then see what we need which could take time so be a little patient will ya! COYB.
