Mayor Joe stating that we could be looking at financing the stadium through a different source than the council, conspiracy theorists will love this one

Degs.

Usmanouvering into position maybe?

2.) 24 Aug 2018 18:18:29
Maybe Moshiri knows someone else with 400-600m burning a hole in their pocket :)

3.) 24 Aug 2018 19:49:04
Wonder who could that be mate.

FAO: Ed2

Hi Ed, if Everton approached Burnley for permission to speak to Dyche and they said no is that the end of it, I can't imagine they would want him to leave and no amount of compensation would benefit them if this caused them to drop out of the prem

Thx Degs.

Murf1000

{Ed002's Note - Effectively it is the end of the matter. He might decide to push from his end, but clubs would as you say resist. It is a bit like buying players in January, clubs will resist unless they have an alternative lined up.}

1.) 31 Oct 2017 10:00:08
Thx Ed.

2.) 31 Oct 2017 10:20:51
Good question Murf. I was wondering the same thing.

3.) 31 Oct 2017 14:01:25
Apparently he has a £2-5 mill release clause bit cheaper than Koeman at £5-6 mill, funny world.

4.) 31 Oct 2017 18:25:22
If we offer him the job, he will come, simple as that, compensation would be reached in the end, I’m convinced he is the man, he just seems to fit us.

31 Aug 2017 22:08:39
Daniel Levy waiting for last two minutes to bit £2.69 for Ross, I still think he will sign for Spurs.

Murf1000

1.) 31 Aug 2017 22:25:44
Injured til November. only got to wait 6/ 8 weeks til January window. £10m to Spurs.

2.) 01 Sep 2017 02:51:02
We should tell Levy to go to hell and let Barkley rot in the reserves for the whole year. This whole things of collusion and Ross has let the club who brought him into the game down. I know players have to look after themselves but he was due to go to the Champions and Everton were to get a reasonable price. Now he will go for next to nothing in January or nothing in the summer.

3.) 01 Sep 2017 11:20:10
Whether he went for £30M this window or goes for £15M in January or nothing next Summer, it's really not our (the fans) money - although I agree that it's fascinating for fans to banter about it.
Besides, modern football;s finances (fees and wages) are just crazy and only sustainable while broadcasting revenues are so huge - if that bubble burst, then how quickly would loads of clubs go broke?

4.) 01 Sep 2017 13:18:15
What's disappointing to me about this window is not who we didn't get in but who we failed to move on. Barkley and Niasse would have us receiving about 40M pounds (minus whatever, I am not trying to get into finances but it would have been a reasonable amount) which could have gone towards a striker in January. Forget about all this bull about big revenues this is a business and failure to capitalize on your assets when they are at a maximum is a problem.

5.) 01 Sep 2017 14:05:19
I would have loved to have seen Ross's agents face when he told him I'm not going!

About a £1m in fees evaporated! LOL!

31 Aug 2017 19:07:13
forget Perez gone DLC.

Murf1000

1.) 31 Aug 2017 19:25:54
Good not a big man I just think would of been a replacement for Kevin.

29 Aug 2017 10:16:44
fernando Lorente linked now, I know he is 32 but easy 3 years left in him, I like this guy and would slot in perfectly.

Murf1000

1.) 29 Aug 2017 11:41:15
I agree but I think it won't be possible we have took there best player already so trying to take there top striker could be a problem unless we can offer Niasse as part of it but I think it won't happen, unless we have a deal lined up for a striker we're clutching at straws and will be a panic buy, for me we either get Costa in for short loan and look in January or we go and get vardy the latter 2 would make us genuine top 4 contenders anyone else I really think we're looking at 6th but I don't get all this looking for a top 6 finish, what difference does it make weather it's 5/ 6/ 7th top 4 has to be the aim.

2.) 29 Aug 2017 12:34:30
I can't see him leaving swans. They'll have nothing left.

3.) 29 Aug 2017 12:35:43
I think llorente is on the move regardless. He wasn't even in the swans squad the weekend and he was deemed fit to play. He's on his way out! Whether it's to us I don't know.

4.) 29 Aug 2017 12:53:19
Swansea are going back for Bony so i guess would be willing if they get that over the line. TrueBlue it makes a big difference between 5th and 7th as 7th this year might not be enough for european football and 5th would mean not having to play qualifiers. Top 4 is too much to expect from a new squad.

5.) 29 Aug 2017 13:18:36
ha ha Ace

They already hate us, imagine if we took Lorente off them too.

6.) 29 Aug 2017 15:05:39
Swap him for Williams.

7.) 29 Aug 2017 16:12:33
I understand that but in all honest I like playing qualifiers as they are competitive we'd only play 2 pre season games anyway Arsenal went straight to group stages and there start to season is rubbish but our aim should be top 4 not top 6 regardless if we don't make it into top 4.

8.) 29 Aug 2017 16:17:53
Bony is heading fr a swansea return. i'm hearing.

9.) 29 Aug 2017 16:25:45
If we could get him though, he would be a very good signing. He's a goal scorer no doubt about it. His hold up play is excellent and him and Sigi have an understanding.

As Degs says. We could have 3 good years from him.

{Ed002's Note - And he has a broken arm.}

10.) 29 Aug 2017 16:35:46
Top 6 the aim with 7th being okay. Its about improving season to season. there's plenty to improve upon other than league position. Its simply not as black and white as some people think it is. If that is your thinking then there is a good chance you are left dissapoineven if we do very well.

11.) 29 Aug 2017 16:37:15
Totally agree about top 4 and not top 6. Progress must be qualifying for the Champions league and not the Europa again. Top 4 SHOULD be the least of Everton's ambition.

12.) 29 Aug 2017 18:12:25
Your idea of doing well is beyond expectations! Some of you expect too much considering the circumstances!

13.) 29 Aug 2017 19:24:46
Not for me.

Lascelles next please, those Geordies would go nuts.

Murf1000

1.) 01 Aug 2018 13:27:54
The only way I can see this happening is that if RB gets assurances that he can reinvest the money in the squaaad. Otherwise no way.

2.) 01 Aug 2018 14:11:23
Wont be up to him mate, the fat cockney won't turn down a big bag of dosh.

{Ed002's Note - Mike Ashley is far from being a Cockney.}

3.) 01 Aug 2018 14:57:09
Ed do you have any info on whether Newcastle would let Lascelles go?

{Ed002's Note - They are not looking to sell but there is another side very interested.}

4.) 01 Aug 2018 14:41:16
He values RB as an asset too much to sell his squad members behind his back. And the only London things about him are his shops, offices and the team he supports. Chelsea.

5.) 01 Aug 2018 17:10:37
He has spent a fortune at that club and is a pariah.
I actually think he's a genius for the way he pig headedly keeps the club. Sorry but I like to see their fans suffer.

6.) 01 Aug 2018 16:42:58
Cheers ed.

Morning Blues/ Ed's

Im going to stick my neck out and say Silva to sign today.

Murf1000

30 Oct 2017 06:39:46
Whats going on with people wanting fat sam

Give your heads a wobble will ye, we won't go down so stop flapping and wishing he comes in, our fans are mental, funny but definitely mental.

Murf1000

1.) 30 Oct 2017 08:29:52
Why won't we go down you need to score goals to stay up and the team has no balance.

{Ed025's Note - im with you irish, i cant see where our next win is coming from to be honest and make no bones about it...we are in a relegation battle, if things continue we could be well adrift by the time we are able to try and change things in january, this team has nothing going for it im afraid...poor defence...no shape..no bottle..no commitment..and no goals, i think we are in serious trouble mate..

2.) 30 Oct 2017 08:56:17
Nobody wants Sam at the club Murf, but the situation is getting serious now and apart from the younger players like Davies and Benni there does'nt seem to be a way forward. Our defence is shocking, even Keane was getting ragged in his last few games. Jags is getting on now and Williams is finished from what I've seen. Rooney to slow, losing posession, what has happened to Gana? All the talent brought in by Koeman/ Walsh either sitting on the bench or not in the match squad i.e Klassen, Sandro.
No wonder fans are looking at a manager to avoid the drop.

3.) 30 Oct 2017 09:41:40
No conspiracy theory but it did seem just before Koeman left that there was a bit of an ashurnai going on behind the scenes. Koeman/ Walsh and even Moshri/ Kenwright in disagreement. The main one for me though is what one of the Eds alluded to and that is who the heck thought it was a clever move to promote Walsh beyond his pay grade from Scout to Director of Football. Bizarre. As Ed25 says make no bones about it we are in a relegation struggle we are stagnant and in danger of losing touch from 12th place after a third of games gone.

4.) 30 Oct 2017 10:20:04
I think they wanted Walsh and the only way they could get him was to offer him the DF post.

5.) 30 Oct 2017 12:49:47
Give big Sam a contract till the end of season build confidence it's all about climbing the table not lovely football we tried an attacking line up Yesterday in the first half didn't work.

03 Oct 2017 09:26:25
Morning Blues and Ed's

Now that Koeman has had the vote of confidence who do you think will be our new manager in 3 weeks :)

1st choice has to be Ancelotti, would he come, throw enough ££££ and he will.

Murf1000

1.) 03 Oct 2017 11:21:04
Why would he join a struggling side with no centre forward and sliding quickly out of Europe? He is used to working at champs league level!

2.) 03 Oct 2017 12:22:20
Wakka simple. Money.

3.) 03 Oct 2017 12:47:05
I answered your question with my first post Wakka £££££.

4.) 03 Oct 2017 15:52:12
rafa benitez used to working with champions leagues clubs

look where he is now.

5.) 03 Oct 2017 16:48:34
Woburn he will get the money at any club, but he will want to work with the top clubs at his age.

6.) 03 Oct 2017 17:33:15
Wakka he has nothing to prove, so might take us on a short term basis, and lob another few mill in the bank.

17 Sep 2017 07:34:54
tough day today for me, executive box for 8 at Old Trafford courtesy of a contractor in work, me, my lad and 6 Utd fans 6 hours of free food and ale, only thing that will ruin it is there's a footy game on too 😒.

Murf1000

{Ed025's Note - love it degsy..

1.) 17 Sep 2017 08:44:34
No bet made then Murf1000?

2.) 17 Sep 2017 08:50:43
Not on us mate, if I did bet against us it would be Rom first goal 3-0, then again i'm that much of a jinx I may throw a fiverr on it as we would probably win then.

3.) 17 Sep 2017 09:16:12
yeah think 99% of us blues expect a hammering today especially after hearing koeman say he has no plans to make changes.

4.) 17 Sep 2017 10:33:05
Maybe Koeman's got a sizeable bet on Utd for the title. Would explain why we've only turned up for the City game so far.

We won't sell Pickford mate, no chance unless something ridiculous like 100 million comes in, he is happy where he is too for now, a good source in my work told me about the old boys click too and he is usually spot on, he actually mentioned Baines and Silva are not speaking, we will see what squad we have soon as the clock is ticking, I personally think we will spend a lot of money in the next few days.
