Hi ed's, Do you know when Cenk Tusan would need to be registered to play on Friday?
Have you heard anything about Kerem Demirbay, jean michel seri or Steven N'Zonzi?

Gutted the way we have playing but I think we must give Sam this window before we can really judge him.

Midday tomorrow (Friday) is the latest Tosun can be registered to be eligible to play at Mordor. This from the FA.

hello ED02 regarding tosun he has until midday tomorrow to be registered to play as I have just watched the pre match press conference but as you said I don't expect him to play as been on a winter break and no point rushing him straight in.
{Ed002's Note - international clearance normally takes a day to obtain so it would need to have already been applied for. This is why some transfers don’t always get confirmed for a couple of days. If it comes through in time then fine.}

As far as I know we haven’t no. We played an 11v11 in house game with the 23’s today but yeah no proper friendly.
Poor imo as every other team seems to have played 1 if not 2 friendlies.

Why is it poor?
If the squad have been together and no positive C.V. tests prior to the restart - why would you want to risk potentially picking up C.V. during a friendly?
Look at latest results with Norwich now having a positive test - did that come from a friendly? Surely they’ll have to follow the guidelines and anyone who came into contact with that player will have to self isolate for 14 days which may knacker their chances of survival.
I realise friendlies may give a competitive edge, but in this situation I’ think the risk out weighs the benfit - want as many as the squad available for the derby as possible - whatever happens when the season starts regarding risks will potentially be the same for all teams.

It’s poor because pretty much every other team has played 1 or 2 friendlies. We’ve played 0 which puts us at a disadvantage.

In my opinion that was much more like want I want to see, particularly in the second half. We had a go, don’t think fans can question effort or commitment tonight. It will take time unfortunately but a little bit of optimism has been restored.
If that’s what rhino can get the players to produce week in week out, with a bit if added quality I’m on board!

How ed’s. With Unsworth taking over for the next few games do you have any thoughts on formation or style of play that he tends to use. I’ve never seen his u23’s play unfortunately. Under koeman I couldn’t tell what his plan was and hopefully we’ll have more of a focus now.
{Ed025's Note - what i have seen of the U23,s preston its organisation, spirit and enough flair that they are attractive to watch as well, they all play for each other and the team ethic shines through which is something he can hopefully bring to the table with the senior squad, it will be interesting to see how he sets up with a different set of players but im certainly looking forward to it mate..

I agree, I just want passion, commitment and effort, not a lot to ask for really! A win would be great but not expected or needed against Chelsea in the cup.

I kind of agree but it kinda is about the result as well. If we lose 2-1 then it isn't a disaster but if we lose 2-0 or 3-0 then Unsworth hasn't got the basics right and that has got to be making us hard to beat.
We should have some impetus tomorrow and some fight so we don't have to win but we don't want to see a heavy loss. The next few games the players will give more for Unsworth than they ever will if they believe in him so the result whatever it maybe is quite important.

If I was in Unsworth's shoes - before RK got the sack, he must've had an idea that A. RK would be sacked very soon and B. There would be a possibility he'd be taking over. So to me, I bet he's already got a few plans up his sleeve on how he will organise things, even before RK was sacked I bet he did.
He really could work wonders for Everton in my opinion. I'm with you there Ed25 mate, I don't think you lads will win tomorrow but if I was a fan, it'd be all about getting the league position sorted, bugger the cups when your in the position your in you have to put the league first. I'd look at tomorrow as a quick run out, a test if you like, then go on that to sort things for your next league game against Leicester who I do believe you fellas will beat.

Agree with that ed. A performance tomorrow (not necessarily the result) is all that matters. Players in their right positions, fight and passion and hopefully some attacking football. It's the next 5 or 10 games that will see if rhino can make it at the minute. Even if he struggles I would still put him back to u23 to continue learning the game.

I don't dislike Tosan either, also i agree about mccarthy. I was just making a joke as its very unlikely as you don't see very many players plus cash deals.
