Well lads, looks like Fikayo Tomori to Everton on loan like I said a few weeks ago.
In for a treat with Moise Kean, he's raw but you potentially have a 25 goal a season striker if he develops.
Best of luck for the new season. Should be a good battle.

If we have no chance of getting Zouma back to the club then I'd look to use our own youth system rather than give game time to other clubs youngsters. I've never seen Tomori play if I'm honest with you but I'd much rather the likes of Gibson or Feeney are given a go.

2.) 01 Aug 2019 13:56:02
Cant see the Tomori one to be honest. If we want to be eclipsing the likes of Chelsea (eventually) , I can't see us having 30m+ to have on a CB and instead nurture a rivals youngster for a year, with supposedly no chance to buy, as Lampard rates him for the future (unless desperation kicks in)

{Ed001's Note - but you did that last season with Zouma, so why is it different this season? You are still building, if you can't buy the centre back you need this summer, borrowing one for a season is not a bad way keep momentum.}

3.) 01 Aug 2019 14:20:21
Its different because Zouma was already an established centre back in the prem, whilst Tomori isn't yet. I would still take him on loan as he could be something special.

4.) 01 Aug 2019 14:38:32
Yea think that's rather different Ed. Zouma had played plenty of prem games, tomori hasn't. And clearly there has been a significant change in circumstances with the transfer ban for Chelsea - when we took Zouma on loan there looked to be a decent chance that we could sign him permanently and that chance obviously reduced massively with the ban.

{Ed001's Note - transfer ban never affected the plan for Zouma though, it was the change of manager.}

5.) 01 Aug 2019 14:53:27
The way in which I think it was different was it seemed Zouma was on his way out of the club. By all accounts, if he had another 'Stoke' season, he could've still gone. It's only because he had a good year with us is why Chelsea want another look at him. Tomori is unproven at this level.

{Ed001's Note - that is not true though, his year at Stoke was simply about getting him back to playing after injury.}

6.) 01 Aug 2019 15:29:48
Zouma was also one of the better players in a poor side. Plus we could also sign more defensive cover if get Tomori on loan. And it could also strengthen the relations between the two clubs.

7.) 01 Aug 2019 15:34:50
Fair enough if it was the change of manager but that is still different isn't it - when we took him on loan we weren't forecasting that the manager would change and that we'd end up just nurturing the player for a year!

{Ed001's Note - but there was never any expectation of a permanent deal when you took him on loan.}

8.) 01 Aug 2019 16:07:16
But if his move to Stoke was simply about getting him back playing after his injury, surely it was successful after playing 34 games for them. He wasn't good enough there and they were happy for him to go out again. He showed his old worth back at us and want to take another look at him.

9.) 01 Aug 2019 17:50:22
Tomori is a decent CB and done well at Derby last season, he may not have Prem experience but he has a season in the Championship under his belt, something our own youth CB don't have.

07 Aug 2018 23:26:10
If your lot get Zouma, he is a class player. Needs some love and confidence back, but is an absolute colussus. I assume it is a loan which benefits all parties, but I will be very sad to see him go if it is a permanent deal, unless we get a favourable buyback clause (Unlikely) .

1.) 08 Aug 2018 09:30:55
Rj28p mate I think there is a player in there with zouma just needs a manager show some faith in him and I think Marco Silva seems that kind of manager players want to play for him plus zouma pace would be a perfect for us also a loan would with option to buy would be good but no buyback option we don't want another del boy situation.

Chelsea fan here, hope Gomes makes a full recovery. Was terrible to see and a massive shame because he was starting to dictate the play. Never good to see that happen to any player.

Chelsea fan in peace here chaps. RE: Diego Costa rumours. Would steer clear with a long barge-pole. Was sensational first and third season- you saw that first hand several times, powerful, clinical and a nightmare for defenders. However, watching him last year was a real shock. He has declined massively since we sold him, the six months protesting against Conte and his injuries have wrecked his fitness which wasn't great to start. Plus, can't even begin to imagine him and Duncan Ferguson! Was a great player 5-3 years ago, but would be terrible business now with big wages and a questionable attitude. If you could get him firing again, it might make a difference- or the only telling contribution he might make is red and yellow cards.

Cheers Rj28p,

If I was a Chelsea fan I would stay well clear of Zouma, it might hamper Tomoris progress so if I were Chelsea, I would sell the player.

Be happy to take the guy off your hands for you :-)

2.) 07 Jul 2019 09:43:22
He's not for me but you can see where everton are coming from if you want to attract other so called big named players.

3.) 07 Jul 2019 09:48:44
Cracking reply bignev.

Thanks for the info RJ28P. Our problem is that we are in clear need of a Costa from about 3 years ago. But if he’s like that now then you’re right about steering clear.

4.) 07 Jul 2019 10:40:22
I remember a so called lunatic coming from Glasgow Rangers. Went on to be a hero!

5.) 07 Jul 2019 11:53:45
Bignev, so good to hear you care about Tomori's development! Zouma is unfortunately back in our squad now, but maybe you could take Big Fik for a year and get him ready for our squad next year to replace Luiz? Seems like a good deal for all parties :)
Looking forward to the usual trip up north to Goodison, your boys always make a good racket.

{Ed002's Note - Tomori will not be moving to Everton - he wioll be sold elsewhere.}

6.) 07 Jul 2019 22:41:30
They can keep Tomori Ed, it is Zouma we want.

Thought as a Chelsea fan I'd offer my two-penneth on Barkley. I think we've got a good deal at £15m, he is a decent player and most importantly he can actually shoot from long range. Is he good enough? Time will tell, but I think he needed the fresh start and Conte will work him hard. Feel a bit sorry for your lot for not getting £30m for him like the summer, but I think Sigurdsson, Rooney and Davies should be adequate cover. Good luck for the derby this evening, would much prefer a blue win than a red one.
Also, Tosun will be a cracking signing for your lot. Watched a lot of him, he reminds me of Costa without quite the nasty streak.

RJ28P

{Ed025's Note - ross really needed to get away from merseyside RJ, we do feel a bit robbed over the fee but that happens mate..

1.) 05 Jan 2018 18:42:00
Now you know how we felt when you got Lukaku!

{Ed025's Note - fair point RJ..

2.) 05 Jan 2018 19:12:12
Agree with Ed, nothing to do with Barkleys ability or undoubted loyalty to Everton Football Club. He needed to get away. Not complicated just fact.

Morning gents, I'm a Chelsea fan who is off to the game Saturday. Wondered if anyone could recommend a good pub to get a pint and bite to eat in beforehand?

RJ28P

1.) 21 Dec 2017 17:59:20
Black Horse on County Road alright, think it serves food on matchdays. 10 mins or so walk to the ground.

2.) 22 Dec 2017 08:09:55
you could try Tommy frosts that's a decent place but make sure you fill up as much as possible before the game for as much as I love the old Lady the facilities in the away end are how should I put this terrible ha ha enjoy ya day just not the result.

3.) 22 Dec 2017 10:30:43
If you fail to get a bite to eat, have a walk down the main stand and try the Chinese chippy near the Church and William Hill bookmakers, great chips and fast serving, proper pies as well not pula lol.

4.) 22 Dec 2017 15:17:47
Puka not pula.

5.) 22 Dec 2017 15:24:37
Cheers chaps, good luck for every match after tomorrow!
